My solution to your roadcrafter problem is to lock it to the bike. Nice covered chain lock through the pit vent and lached around the rear grab handles (they’re enclosed on my bike). Leave the stich on the seat. No problems at work/school/anything else and I’ve been doing that for over a year now.
