The terrifying thing about them is they can go a year without feeding. I know someone with an anecdotal story about how they had a truck that got infested, and they left the truck in a shed for five years, and after that five years they decided to drive the truck again and they got bit.

I have nightmares about bringing them home, but I check all my hotels super carefully. That’s how I keep finding roaches.

You can also buy one of those luggage heater things if you travel a lot. My coworker swears by them. He comes home, tosses his luggage in, and it raises the temp to beg bugging killing levels, and then he’s fine.

“There was a general principle that a person should not put himself in a dangerous situation.”

I just went through this. It was a pain but still worth it to get away from the Evil Empire of BoA. You could maintain both a credit union and bank account until everything gets sorted out. Just make sure you keep enough money in each to cover bills until payment accounts get fully switched.

No one goes hard in the paint against anyone anymore you could stick the head of nambla up there and she’d do the same things.

The heavy racial undertones sullied my excitement pretty quickly.

“There’s no way any of us can excuse what the president did yesterday. For him to walk out there in dark skin. It’s simply an outrage. There’s no excuse for the president not to be white at all times.”

Per household

Per Person or Per Household?

It's really hard to be happy when you're swamped with debt, struggling to pay bills, to feed yourself. That's the point of the graph. It shows the point at which money stops bringing happiness from filling basic needs. Or rather, when your lack of money is no longer stressing you out and making you unhappy.
