I was SO excited to see Cat Deely at the Emmys! There should have been more. She looks amazing.

@Laulau: I think it's less of a poop/dirt problem, but rather, it's the stereotype of the ancient, crumbling British ruling class. Posh doesn't necessarily mean rich, it means your great-great-.whomevers were lords. You might own a giant manor house, but it's 300 years old and you can't afford to heat it.

@Lizard in the Wires is on Rails: I was lucky enough to see Assassins when he was in it, and it was fantastic. His performance was disturbing in the best way.

Clearly that photo was taken yesterday, because it has become winter overnight in NYC. If she were wearing this today, her legs would be blue.

Welcome to dating; its no different for cougars, sad-sacks, or 20-somethings. I'm 29 and having trouble meeting men my age!

I want Kathy's book tour to last forever!

Hm. I was looking at the Fashion Week-themed Bloomingdale's catalog last night and noticed this asymmetrical trend was all over the place there, too. I'm...not a fan. I don't mind one-shouldered things, but I can't stand the drapey bits of extra fabric that hang down here and there from hems and sleeves.

@queenieinmanhattan: Ok, this is something I am still confused about. DOES Peggy's family know about her pregnancy? I know we saw a scene of her looking down on a baby, but I'm suddenly wondering if that was Anita's kid, not Peggy's, and that they never knew. 'Cause if she gave it up, why would it have been at their

@NotChoinski: This episode was the first time that my dorky, Everwood-loving self realized that Kitty is played by Sarah Drew (Hannah!). Now I kind of love Kitty...

This has gotta be a flashback. Although, in the only episode with a flashback I can remember, it was Sam who had this hair, and Carrie had the super-straight head-top Madonna ponytail.

@Katxyz: Considering it's directed by Darren Aronofsky, I'm thinking it'll be more of a horror-fest.

This look is apparently a Thing for fall. See below from J.Crew.

I heard the producers of the recent production of "Hair" had the same problem (with the pubes, I mean).

@flamesonthesideofmyface: I also feel like this is one of those movies that was filmed like 3 years ago, and now the studio is all, "well, we have an empty weekend. Might as well get this over with..."

I just turned 29. I made a list of a few things that I want to accomplish this year, before the big 3-0. Some of them are vague (like "save money"), some are more specific (I'll spare you). Was this a good idea? It remains to be seen, but I felt like I needed to do something to mark the pre-30 birthday.

@LoSpaz: I don't even like getting wet, but it has been so hot on the east coast this last week that a swim sounds like the only possible way to cool off right now.

@LindyLou: My friend with Celiac and my vegan friend both call ahead whenever humanly possible.

@dianersb was bit by a zombie: When you type that sentence into my font program in order to pick a good symbol for a design! Type Embelleshments 2, that's cuter!

@virginiawoolf: The hideous-fashion industry is one step ahead of you!

@colormeroutine: As others have said, I wouldn't base your decision on the activities of one troupe. I was a girl scout, and my (hippie, superliberal) mom was our leader.
