I agree — I wouldn't mind a 3 day break at all. I get so tired and lethargic during my period that I skip the gym and go to bed earlier anyway. (I suppose it sounds like I should be taking extra iron supplements, too, huh?)

@umm_okay: Too bad you skipped it. That was a great issue, and it offered a lot of different perspectives on the Palin situation.

I used to get sick all the time (I always got a nasty cold at the change of every season, so at least 4x per year). In January 2007, I started going to yoga twice a week and then switched to the gym 3x per week or more. Since then, I've had 2-3 cases of stomach yuckiness (most likely IBS anyway), and one rashy

@ineffable.me: I loved that article. I'd been a Vogue subscriber for 12 years before that, and couldn't believe it was the first in-depth article about Pat they'd run (as far as I knew).

I was really pretty positive that headline was implying Angie & Brad were going to adopt Travis Barker as he left the hospital...

This makes me SEETHE inside. I was so relieved when I heard Lehrer and Ifill were moderating the first two debates. I find PBS' political coverage to be the most even-handed and their moderators more likely to actually "moderate" rather than ask candidates to raise their hands if they go to church (I'm lookin' at you

Ladies — my gyn told me under no circumstances should we use Vagisil, wipes, or any soap other than a teeny bit of Dove.

Sure Delfina Fendi, that's what I'D pick if I had all the shoes in the world to choose from...not.

Last night was the first time I started to think Sheena could actually win it. Was it just me or did she look phenomenally gorgeous at panel — with her hair pulled back and minimal makeup? She was just beautiful. Annaleigh's walk was HOT on the runway, though... she could be the one to beat.

Yes!! Please do a highlight reel of uglies — it will help me decide what to be for Halloween!

By 38 I hope to have (at least):

Are those 2 little girls on page 23 meant to be playing Grey Gardens? If so, awesome.

@BabyJewn: Oooh, yeah, I heard Sandra Tsing Loh on NPR this weekend and I was peeing my pants.

Ok, now to be fair, my family has TWO dinosaur ornaments (sparkly silver sequin brontosaur and stegosaur), as well as many alcohol-related ornaments (I gave my parents and their friends martini glasses, wine glasses, and a wine bottles last year).

Hortense, you're amazing. We ALL have your back. Just think of the thousands of us standing here with our hands on your shoulder, ready to hold you up.

He had been working on a novel (I read a bit in Harper's). I hope it was finished.

I was a Keira fan during the "Bend it Like Beckham" years, but I dumped her when she committed the sacrilege of playing a way-too-thin-and-young Elizabeth Bennet. But I'm tempted to be her friend again. Especially because I want to gossip about beautiful, beautiful Dominic Cooper.

Tatiana, I know you're probably not using your own name, but when Natasha Singer mentioned a "model named Tatiana" in today's Thursgay Styles article about shadowing the Creative Nail Design people, I couldn't help but imagine she was you. But I'm sure you don't have dirty fingernails, either.

@Daglar: Yeah, I posted some recs for you too, Sukie, but they're not showing up. I may have double posted, so I'm sorry if you get two double-y long lists.

@Sukie in the Graveyard: Sukie, if you want a bunch of suggestions — post a comment on my private page and I will send you more. I am the queen book recs.
