Ooooh boy, my father would hate the shit out of this article.

For reference, he’s a guy who HATES the idea of cutting down a tree, a “living, breathing tree that could go on to live for decades, if not more” (his words) just to prop up in our house, decorate for a few weeks - a month or so and discard once the

PC Name: Game's Desktop

Maybe if it's $100 more. And that's a big maybe considering it probably won't include a sizable memory card to go along with the Vita, which means I'll still have to pony up for one of their still expensive as hell proprietary memory cards. Besides, I can't see myself playing much of the Vita these days anyway.

I remember when people thought Microsoft was insane for backing HD-DVD in the early days of the Xbox 360.

Sony being classless and dismissive toward a competitor? What a shocker. Not like they didn't do the same thing in the run up to the PS3 launch or for the next few years afterward or anything. This is such a surprise.

It's certainly beautiful. But why can't we see these kinds of original creations in Forza? :(

Meh. Like I said, we probably never will see what could've come out of Microsoft's always online strategy, sales or otherwise.

And as someone who actually liked the potential of Microsoft's original strategy, I wish they had stuck to their guns. Instead, we're left with a console that's barely any different than the previous generation besides the spec bump.

Except that the Xbox brand has been a net positive for the gaming community as it has pushed Sony and Nintendo to be better competitors.

I'm conflicted on that point as well. On one hand, I appreciate their commitment to realism and rendering accurate tracks but on the other, I still enjoy racing on the admittedly inaccurate Nurburgring, despite its poor resemblance to the real thing.

Because one less competitor in the console game is a good thing, I guess?

It would be nice if Turn 10 were willing to laser scan these tracks that have been in Forza for years and add them back as free DLC since they couldn't make it into the final build but I think that's a pipe dream.

Call of Duty Ghosts: True Next Gen last gen visuals.

Okay, good for you.

That's an interesting assumption but no, I've never used the "middle finger on the triggers" grip on any of my controllers, I just see that "you're holding it wrong" argument a lot and I've even heard people say you're supposed to hold it as the diagram suggests, the proper way you described and balancing it on the

Thank you. This is exactly what I've been saying for years now. The DualShock design is an ergonomic nightmare that I'm so glad is finally being ditched for the Playstation 4.

And the Xbox 360 controller, the WaveBird, the Dreamcast controller, the Controller S, the Duke (yep, even the Duke) have all been better for it.

See, I hate that "They're holding the damn thing wrong" argument.

But that's stupid. I've never understood the "this game, once exclusive, is now multiplat and now sucks" argument. The developers don't owe them any promise of exclusivity, especially when it means denying themselves a huge portion of the market by not developing for the Xbox 360.

I've never been in a position to really lose out on third party exclusives since I've historically owned every console in a given generation but I see where you're coming from and I agree.
