Fellow U of M alumi, Go Blue! (and being from S.E. MI, I'm sorry he was a jerk!) The kicking foot thing, that is just so out of line, did you 'accidentially' step on his foot?

Callie and Lawrence's are the most rage-fulfiling. I bet it felt so good to say that to the rude table, even if your manager did take the gratuity off the bill, assholes!

I'd love the fries but I'm allergic to red, can someone please remove the offending little ramekin? Thanks. And by the way, I need some extra salt. And napkins. And...

Maybe the Dr. was an angel too! :) glad you were both ok.

I’m sorry you were sick but you still got to go, how cool!!!

I’m sorry you were sick but that is a great museum!

I never had IBS until I got my gallbladder out last year...now it’s all exciting all the time. Will this food cause a blowout? Will that harmless tomato do me in? All those years of my poor mom having it, we always knew it was bad, but until it happens to you...ugh. hugs!

I got sunburned like that, after putting on sunscreen, a few days after finishing an antibiotic. Last time I run around TX with a sleeveless shirt on.

Wow, that is horrible! I’m so sorry to hear about your mom and your kidney disease. How are you doing now?

Hugs to you too! I’ve not thrown up that much, two or three times, but the last migraine lasted a few days. It’s when you get so dizzy you can’t get up off the floor, for fear of falling, or fever/chills that get me.

I’m a migraineur too, luckily I don’t throw up often, and I live in fear of this happening while traveling for work at the end of the month. You poor thing, all the hugs!!

I grew up Catholic and never heard of them, off to Google!

That’s insane! You poor thing, I’m so glad you escaped a blood clot or fractured skull. Did they take you to a Dr. after stepping over your twitching body?

I like gravy but that is only good for some things, most of what you mentioned is out (for me anyway). Brown gravy however on mashed potatoes, fried chicken, and a few other things is great. The gravy in a fountain cup though...urp.

Have you been to Almanzo’s family home in Malone, NY? I know it’s practically in Quebec, but it’s on my list. :)

I hadn’t known it was still around, that is awesome!

That’s good to know!

A flu (which now I’d guess was the death-incarnate Norwalk Virus) had been going around my museum just before I’d headed off to a big conference near Akron, OH. It was the first time I was headed away with friends to go somewhere (we were from Detroit), in college, staying in a hotel, as an adult. As a history geek I

Thanks so much for your kind thoughts! It'll be a move to BFE and the other end of the state but I can do it for a year at least and it'll be a change which'll be nice.

Well it doesn't help that I figured out close to second-graduation that I didn't want to teach. I'm good at it but I didn't love it like I love museum work, but once I put my hand to the plow I finish the row (literately in my case). So I've worked in museums and teach school groups that visit, and found a way to do
