Not the only one, my parent’s didn’t stop, but I don’t feel bad now after learning nothing survivees but the trees Ingalls’ family planted. A few years ago a friend and I did a Wilder reunion tour and saw her and Almanzo’s home in Mansfield, that was totally worth it! :)

Good for you! I have some saved through work too, and it adds up, but not as nearly as much as outside of work. I hope I get the big promotion I'm going for soon...then I'd pay my debt off twice as fast. :)

This year was the first time I paid my taxes and wished I'd spent just a little more in bills, and surgery, since then I would have gotten some of it back... but I was a few hundred dollars shy.

If I didn't have my credit card debt (got into that debt tangle a few years ago, and I'm working like gangbusters to pay it off) I could easily save more of my income. That would make things a lot easier. I'd have an emergency fund, put back into retirement, money to go to things, get my car fixed, etc...

So I'm just barely middle class in my home state, and my adopted state, huh, who would have thunk it. And I have a M.A. degree! I just chose work you tend to stay poorer in...and I'm single.
