Metroidvania, and that’s 2. So Smash can definetely get away with it, it is a fighting game but the style is taken from that. There’s a TMNT, PSABR, and 2 other indie games plus this one (I believe).

The differences in culture are probably the problem here. From watching a lot of anime, reading manga and playing a lot of japanese games this type of thing is very mishandled.

I saw some other comments online too. Some people made the same mistake, they assumed that their game would update once you launch the game but they forgot to press “Update Data” option in the main menu.
