Had to get one more lousy take in before Blackstock takes over for the weekend huh?
Had to get one more lousy take in before Blackstock takes over for the weekend huh?
I went to the auto parts store and said to the guy at the counter “how about a gas cap for a Yugo?” He replied “sounds like a fair trade.”
Screw you. I’m right. HAAS has no business in F1. In fact, why does F1 exist? Maybe just to bore us to sleep. I hate racing in general. Everybody sucks and should kill themselves.
What evidence do you have to back that up? HAAS was one of the most successful startups ever. The last two years sucked pretty bad, but we would have to dig into some pretty pointed details to explain why. Grosjean is a huge reason why. Also, stupid timing of crew errors ruined what could have been some stellar…
I mean, you keep sticking around writing mediocre articles, what’s the point?
2021 rule changes are going to be telling. Also, if you think there is no point, then any of the low grade teams have no point. Do you just want Mercedes, Ferrari, and Redbull on the grid?
What’s the point of writing articles if they are not for the most popular magazine or website in the world? What’s the point of writing at all if the best you can do is speculate without any research? Many of the author’s questions could be answered by doing some shallow digging-Gene made a profit from the F1 team in…
Yeah the main thing Haas is doing is surviving. They’ll see what the budget cap changes offer them as they approach and we get a better idea of how other teams are going to cope, mainly the big ones. Remember that Ferrari is still getting data from them in part exchange for parts, just not wind tunnel access or…
I know your point was the pun, but that's the truth. Gene likes to race. You would think that jalopnik would similarly employ someone who likes racing to write motorsports articles, but they found someone who evidently hates cars and motorsport to do the job.
Guys, you know, you don’t have to report on F1 if you’re not interested. It’s really not a requirement, and seeing the number of comments the articles get, not many people here care about it. And I say it because if this is the level of coverage you’re doing on the biggest motorsport series in the world, then...…
Well there are new budget caps and new regs coming in 2022, so that could shake things up. Those new regs were supposed to occur in 2021 so Haas was probably gearing up for that and probably had 2020 as a throwaway year. Didn’t help that the ferrari engines are nerfed now. Plus another year of these regs.
IMO the goal…
Actually, Lotus was not at the top of their game in the 1980s, partially because they were too invested in ground effects and got bypassed by the turbo cars when they were restricted, and partially because Colin Chapman died and his successors were not very good at running the team.
I think Schumacher still stands above everyone but Fangio, because both Ferrari and Benneton were not regular race winners when he joined and Schumacher had rule changes aimed directly at him.
Senna won five times in 1993, in an MP4/8 that had no business winning once. Same with the three wins in the MP4/6 and 4/7 the year prior. He had two podiums in the olden day equivalent of a Haas, one of which should have been a win. There has literally been no other driver capable of extracting 100.1% from every…
Senna could win even in a terrible car. Hamilton could barely beat Nico with team orders helping him. And he’s a tax dodging ass.
That could be impressive if it was a level playing field but it most certainly isn’t.
What about...
Liar. My Mom is a Boomer and doesn't know how to get on the internet so no way you're one.
But who could have possibly predicted that the Baby Boomers would eventually get old and planned for it? Who?
Stealth Deadspin article?
