He is having a misconception here. The Autopilot features are for multi lane road use, not for single lanes with oncoming traffic and tight turns. Yes of course, at some stage they will develop that capability (and roundabouts and all that). But not yet and it clearly states that in the manual and brochures. It’s a…
The concept of the Dakar originally had the support material, mechanics and all that tagging along the rally convoy in trucks. At some stage they started racing each other. And one thing led to the other. The support trucks are still around and so are the racing trucks.
And honestly, the trucks are just awesome things…
So Doug isn’t working for Jalopnik anymore... and then he kinda still is by proxy. Is that’s how it’s gonna be?
My standard recipe applies: LS engine, blower, EFI with beefy pump and a bottle of Nos. Pair of Hoosier’s on the rear and let’s see whats what.
I LOVE Roadkill. But this episode was the weakest of the the show so far imho.
The real qustion for Fiat-Chrysler has to be: Why not?
Let me think about this... blower, NOS, cage, Hosiers, chute... Ok ok I’m buying it already!
My first thought exactly.
Hope the Mercedes is alright!
I’d love to see the DeltaWing back where it belongs in my humble opinion: LeMans. One more shot, that thing can do it if it’s not run over.
I will maintain my position, that while it’s sad that he can’t race right now, the right thing to do is to recover. Many racedrivers aren’t in the position to do it and face dire consequences for it and it’s vitally important that he not only recovers but as well raises awareness for the issue. He is one of the great…
Depends on the ordinance used? A lot of the troop-in-contact and danger close engagement of the A-10 are strafing runs. Their collateral damage potential is far less of that of a 500lbs or 1000lbs explosive ordinance. Hearts and minds, hearts and minds.
The F-35 can’t carry as much payload, but more importantly if you as much as scratch it with a machine gun, let alone give it a good couple of hits, it’s a wreck. Attack Helicopters are fantastically vulnerable to small arms fire, even the mighty Apache. Thats why everyone who has an inkling of a clue of attack…
Keep an eye on this, my guess is some ambulance chaser is going to contact the family and promise them millions if he lets him sue the dealership for gross negligence.
Are they going to? Before I get misunderstood, I’m not objecting to Aluminium bodies, actually i like the idea, I was merely wondering how Ford is handling the pretty harsh Chevy campaign against it. But if Chevy is really going down the aluminium road as well, they don’t really have to. Hahaha.
Thank you for the reply!
Ask them how they want to counter the bed durability criticism from Chevy. WIll they let you slam a toolbox in the bed to demonstrate it can take a beating?
Just out of curiosity, does that apply to Fifth Wheel RVs as well? I’ve seen humongous 5th Wheel Campers and was wondering if you’d require a commercial drivers permit for them as well.
Could this make it into the Camping World Truck Series?
