Me too! I’m loving it all over again to the point where I picked it up on PC and started over (was X1 to start).
Oh for sure, they are definitely period correct. I just don’t like shooting them, they aren’t fun to use for me. Doesn’t even have to be modern with all your Red Dots, etc. I enjoy a good M1 from time to time. I just don’t have fun with what’s on offer in BF1.
Man. Long time Battlefield fan. Love it. One of my top multiplayer games/series of all time. And I just cannot for the life of me get into Battlefield 1. And it is arguably the prettiest, smoothest, best Battlefield we’ve gotten in a long time. But the trash guns, gadgets, mini map - or some indefinable thing -…
Matter of taste here though. I recently picked up a PS4 to play exactly one game - Uncharted 4. I’ll play anything else Naughty Dog puts out. But i can’t stand the PS4 UI/UX and the dual shock is (IMO, I know) the worst controller I’ve ever used. Same thing happened to me with the PS3. Sony boxes are just Naughty…
Fingers crossed they do the same thing for the Titanfall 2 deluxe. I want that helmet in my life.

Oh man, that sucks. Sorry dude. And yeah, if mine dies i’ll probably break my normal rule and get a warranty on the next one.
I bought it at release. And I’ve had good luck with controllers, no broken ones for my X1!
Bought at release. If it breaks I will buy a new one that day. It’s the best controller I’ve ever used.
Out of curiosity, how much time did you give it before you bailed on the paddles? Took me about 2 weeks to really settle in with them, and now I can’t do with out.
I’m so incredibly enamored with my Elite controller. If I go to a buddy’s house to game (or want to play on lunch at the office) I have to bring it with me. My brain doesn’t know how to deal with the lack of paddles on a normal controller.
Get it. It’s worth it. I have less than zero interest in survival games, but this is a great mode. The fact that it’s a finite, session based things with definable goals, rather than a free roam, base building, resource management, never ending poop-a-thon makes all the difference in the world.
My friends are all baffled that I disliked the first one and have no interest in the sequel. This sums up the why though. The game gave me tons of awesome stuff to play with and then punished me for playing with them. It was so annoying.
I wanted this game to be so rad. But it’s one of those titles that shows you everything it has to offer in the tutorial. I kept playing for a bit after but couldn’t shake off the nagging feeling that I had done everything there was to do in the first 30 minutes, and everything from here on out would be the same.
Play it on easy! That’s what I do. Then I can enjoy the choices and the story without having to fuss with the mostly bad mechanics.
Getting to the end is the win state. That’s what nets you gear, etc. and is how you beat it.
Never stop moving. Gotta go fast!
Titanfall 2 has the best campaign I’ve played in years. The last campaign I enjoyed this much was...Portal 2 maybe? Well worth the price of admission and a must play for shooter fans.
Yeah, I was just saying if you wanted to enjoy it in all it’s glory the art book is a way to go. I have a pretty robust collection from various games and I love tham (I actually prefer that to unlocking art images in game - TVs are a shit way to look at concept art).
That’s legit. There’s an art book!
