I tripped and fell into 3 legendaries and 4 exotics in a 48 hour period. My friends hate me.

See, I actually feel like the press is having a field trying to get people to hate on Destiny and buy into the anti-hype. It's one of the more fun games I've played in a long, long time and has made me decide that I don't need to buy any other games this year (minus the MCC). But hey, anecdotal evidence and all

It's always had the sic fi stuff going on from the very beginning.

Oh, gotcha. I misunderstood your comment. I imagine there are technical limitations as well. It's probably much simpler to hit one giant reset button on a bunch of servers, rather than try to keep track of what needs to be reset and when. I realize it's probably all automated, but the principles apply.

If your progress saved indefinitely you wouldn't be able to kill the bosses again for loot. The point isn't really to beat content, it's to power up your character. By having it reset you get another chance to kill the bosses and get sweet loot. It's similar to Diablo or Borderlands if you've ever played those.

Oh Jae Lee, why are you ruining your own art? Well, I guess it isn't on some crappily drawn scroll or banner a la 1990.

The boost-jump is one of Destiny's most mechanically interesting tricks - after you get a few levels, you'll get a thruster that you can use to give yourself some extra hang-time in the air. It's got a particular feel to it, though, and takes some getting used to. Generally speaking, if you tap the jump button twice

Oh yeah, the Ghost in the Shell bit I get for sure. The main title is usually sensical. It's always the random string of words, colons, period, dashes and symbols afterwards that confuses me.

Very helpful, thanks!

Sort of off topic but can someone explain to me why anime (and often Japanese games) have totally nonsensical names that are a seemingly random string of words? I mean, they're always amusing to say with gravitas, but I don't get it as they never communicate any sensible information.

I actually liked it a lot. It was both bad ass, and endearingly awkward. All at the same time. I'm cringing a little bit, but I'm smiling.

I actually like that the game has a low barrier of entry, that's why I play it. :) Titanfall/Halo/Battlefield for a couple of hours, and then a few rounds of PvZ to clear the palette before bed. And I haven't noticed the cash grab. I make enough in game money to buy a character or high end sticker pack every 2-3

I've been going back and forth between the berry blast pea shooter and the new plasma one. I love the looks/sounds of plasma shooter, but really struggle with his charge up so I've been sticking mostly with the berry shooter. Good to see I'm using the current OP class!

I do a solid mix of both. The horde mode when I want to relax and sink back into my couch (late at night), and PVP when I'm sitting forward and full of energy.

Hmm. Maybe the zombies are just designed to be beginner friendly. I do find myself enjoying the Allstar quite a bit and feel that he is one of the most powerful classes. I wouldn't be surprised if my experience tracks yours. Most people here seem to think plants are where it's at.

Interesting. When I play as plants I get totally destroyed, and the opposite happens when I'm zombies. The plants all seem to be very precision orientated with single shot attacks. I'm not a terrible FPSer, but I'm just sucking with them! It's also possible that my play style outside of gun type is more suited to

Well crap. I'm sad that you made me think of this because I'm picturing them all set up in my wife's "I-don't-have-a-kid-yet" garden, which she would love I'm sure. But it would look so cool.

Slightly off topic - I've been playing a lot of PvZ lately. Does anyone else feel like the zombies are so much more powerful? Or maybe I just don't get how to play the plants correctly...

I'm excited about this thing! But they never work with glasses....

I am a big of this work around for posting images and his in content. Can we keep it to written descriptions forever please?
