Don't just shoot the messenger. Someone actually wrote that copy.
That's a shame. I really enjoyed the battle system in the demo, but that isn't enough to justify a long slog through hours of bland and melodramatic dialogue and story.
What's the big veal? I don't goat it. . .
Looks like it will eat up all your ram.
I had a really strange thing happen after one of the latest patches; continuing on a server from the same host I always play on I found my character had been reverted to the exact place/time/gear state as I had been about four hours before my last log off. It was like I had gone back in time. It was terribly eerie.
I didn't play it until the HD release on the PS3, and in my mind that does not diminish my credibility as a Playstation enthusiast in the slightest. Don't let Totilo bully you!
You monster.
Don't any of you bastards post the anatomically correct Ninja Turtles video. If I have to look at one more turtle penis—
Playing through Persona 4 years ago I did not hesitate to court as many characters as possible; all of the relationships felt quite genuine, though I still felt a little guilty. After playing the demo I can easily say that this is a game I want to play; not because of the story or the characters, but simply for the mechanics. This is the first time I've ever said that about an RPG. I don't know what's happening to me.
Even then, from a writing standpoint, I think they did pretty well with what they had.
I remember being frustrated by those moments as well. Thankfully I can really only think of three or four sections like that. If you can make it through those you will be golden. My strategy on my nth playthrough was to make saves just after each of those sections that I could just reload to so I got more story and…
It really is where all the best creative appropriation of Judeo-Christian and Western philosophical terminology went down. I think Neon Genesis is its only real competitor for the title.
Ah, with that video as a reminder, when I wake up I think I will begin my annual playthrough of the game that made me fall in love with video games. May it always be my first and last.
I do what I can.
