Each to his own, but if you compare to the home projector/cinema market, "fitting one" in a room isn't the issue. If you are defining "practical TV sizes" based on today's cost/weight of say a 103" plasma, that might be true. However assuming they continue to get thinner, lighter and cheaper to supersede even projectors for screen size combined brighter and truer black displays, I think 4K will be perceptible and needed.
