The BRZ GT300 uses a Subaru EJ turbo boxer motor, not the BRZ's FA boxer.

Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if this is just the RC F GT3 motor dropped in the car. It already competes in the class and is reliable, why develop an all new motor?  It certainly sounds like the Lexus V8.

It’s a JAF-GT car, so it is a Supra “chassis” (mostly the cockpit) with a transplanted Toyota engine and a ton more aero.

The problem is now you effectively have two major classes at Le Mans for manufacturers to choose from. Back in the Group C era, there was basically one class for manufacturers as Group B failed and Group C2 dwindled over time.

I’m not sure how involved Lamborghini themselves were, but the 1991 Konrad KM-011 Group C car had the Lamborghini 3512 V12 from their concurrent Formula One effort. It was also a short-loved failure.

Pescarolo's beard was actually to cover the burns he had on the bottom of his face.

All new Kias and Hyundais have them as a “safety feature.” The rest are probably aftermarket.

Okay, I’m not sure what that comment means. The LMP2 cars aren’t losing anything, just lap times. They’re still the 2nd tier class, as they have always been, and they’re still going to have their own fight in class.  LMP2 has never been intended to fight for overall wins at Le Mans.

Of course not, but a simple cut in horsepower at a track like Le Mans will inherently drop you several seconds.

The LMP2 engine is spec. Its output has always been dependent on the rules. The lap times for the past two years were not LMP2 cars on their limits, but because they were already “gimped” to not be faster than 3:25. This is simply a further “gimping”.

Goodyear wasn’t chosen because it is slower, Goodyear was chosen because they have switched to a single supplier for 2020 instead of the open ruleset. Michelin already won the tender to be the spec tire in LMH, so it made sense for Goodyear to get LMP2.

Why would you want LMP2 to be the top class? They are a spec category, all identical engines and only 3 chassis choices.

LMP2s are not the fastest, they just need to be slowed down from where they currently are.  LMP2s only have chances for overall wins if all the LMP1, or now LMH cars suffer issues.

Yep, Mopar based the engine on a World of Outlaws crate motor.

Not to mention that they thought it was a good idea to bring their Art & Science edgy design language over to a race car, which didn’t help at all.

Where is reverse?

Funny enough I knew of the Orca C113 back when it came out because they had announced it was going to be part of Gran Turismo 4 the video game, as mentioned on Supercars.net

Like the real Orca C113, it never materialized in the game either.  The Zonda however did.

That’s not what is being said. It’s saying Horatio Pagani named his own car in honor of the Mercedes Group C cars, even if those cars mostly used Sauber’s own designations. Mercedes powered the C8, C9, and C11 to great success, although at mentioned Horatio ignores the C291, which doesn’t follow Sauber’s naming

Just an FYI, Gran Turismo Sport has been out for 2 years now.  The car is just coming in a monthly update.

Probably seats thirty five? Maybe twelve yards long and two lanes wide? Sixty-five tons, give or take.
