No physical evidence? How about a shell casing/gum with DNA, video surveillance footage, tire tracks, etc. There were complications, sure, like a lack of a clear motive, and no murder weapon, but there was plenty of physical evidence.
I think some people don’t understand reasonable doubt. It’s not reasonable to think you will find every little pirce of evidence, and CSI isn’t magic. It sounds like all the circumstantial evidence left little doubt as to who committed the murder.
