That’s clear sarcasm, not shade, and IMHO, Krueger 100% deserves it for supporting the trend of trawling through people’s tweets for offensive things they said as teens and very young adults Especially when all she could hold up as some kind of gotcha is fatphobia in freaking college. High school and college are

if that’s true I have some thoughts about this line from one of their comments above:

Also unmentioned, Katherine Krueger of all people called her out for old highschool tweets mocking fat people. Krueger, editor of this site, is also the girlfriend of Will Menaker, a man who on his very lucrative podcast insults mentally handicapped people, autistic people, fat people...really anyone he feels like.

This site has a bad habit of building a woman up to a certain point then once someone on staff thinks she’s too big or had enough publicity, they write a hit piece using flimsy evidence to tear her down. You mention in this piece that you don’t have the e-mails she sent while she was at HuffPost and you didn’t name

The core problem to me is that Merlan doesn’t like this “grifter”, doesn’t feel she’s earned her status and wrote a massively long hit piece about a drunken email.
It’s jealous gossip wrapped up as, what, truth-seeking?

not entirely sure why this article would need to be even a fraction of this length; the existence of this article feels like a solid illustration of the self obsessed navel gazing of twitter-obsessed media types in general.

Person Jealous Of More Famous Journalist Writes Take-down Piece: Why We Probably Shouldn’t Talk About Lauren Duca But We Did Anyway

Is the left unhealthily obsessed with cancellation culture and sniping at each other rather than focusing on our real enemies?

Did you just write a 4,500 word story about how a young woman who has become a figurehead for the resistance for other young women once wrote some bitchy anonymous emails when she was 23?

My wife’s younger cousin is an influencer and I can tell you the type of person she and other influencers are. She is insanely self absorbed and materialistic and does not give a crap about people she feels are beneath her aka poor or unattractive. Being an influencer just creates a feed back loop for them making

I’m feeling this comment so much right now. It’s not just that they cheated to get in, but who else did they CHEAT OUT of the opportunity to go there. They stole someone else’s spot. Someone who, perhaps, is more deserving because of their own merits and not because mommy and daddy are well beyond financially secure.

I really hate to shame women about their appearances, but this woman looks like she has already started hitting the facial fillers/botox pretty hard. She doesn’t look fresh-faced to me, she looks like...plastic.

I went to a fine school and all but I am 45 and still slowwwwly paying off a student loan. Fuck these people.

I was thinking maybe instead of going to USC maybe go to like FIDM, where she could learn how to launch a clothing line or something similar, but I already ranted about this in my other post.

No, you’re not alone its all the artificial, chemical based makeup pancaked and plastic surgery from 14, 15. She’s a year out of high but has been made to look like a 35-year-old OC divorcee.

Isn’t she the new “it” girl for this brand:

Yep! Busted my ass to get into Princeton, got the acceptance letter, my dad asked how much financial aid and work study I got, saw a bunch of zeros tallied, and had to find somewhere else. This whole thing pisses me off. These kids were already born with every head start possible and they still couldn’t get across the

Some of my coworkers’ teenage kids want to drop out of school and become influencers or twitch streamers. Sounds terrifying to me, but imitating the boomer path of college = success doesn’t really make as much sense these days either.

Same - I did ok, but I’ll never forget sitting down with my dad and him telling me with tears in his eyes that I couldn’t go to my dream school because we just couldn’t make it work financially.

Who's Loughlin now?
