Yup, I did all the research years ago on it. You can't even access the content if you did pay your license and were just on a business trip outside the country. The firewalls would spot the foreign IP and block you. I really just wanted to watch all the old episodes of scrapheap, miss that show.

I never understood why you could never just pay for a subscription to the BBC if you lived outside the country. It's a pet peeve on almost every expat site I've seen. Instead the VPN sites get the money.
