Exactly! Colt should sue.

I'm really liking this scene already. There is a painting in the Pentagon with a B-1 doing this that this scene reminds me of.

The wrap is a nice touch

I think it came out great and I'd love to try it if I had the time. So silly but yet not pointless.

I don't know the craftsmanship or origin of these glasses but hopefully Mercury is Mercury Free. Just saying.

Since no one was injured or killed in this tragedy, I feel no guilt in really enjoying watching this repeatedly. It's a beautiful explosion in slow motion HD

That's a cool effect. I had seen pictures of some of this stuff before with planes but thought it was just water tank or smoke in a wind tunnel type of stuff. Add this one to my Christmas wish list!

Nice!

The pain jobs really make this plane sweet. I really love the Japanimation vibe they did here.

It should be on the far left side of the chart if they are going to include it on here.

I was stationed at RAF Chicksands. It was a beautiful place with a river and an old haunted priory on the grounds. I was one of the last five Americans to leave when we decommissioned it and handed it back over to the MoD in 1995. They tore the rest of the structure down in 1996 I believe.

It's not the magnetic field that causes shooting stars/meteors in the night sky, it's the speed of the particles hitting the atmosphere causing them to heat up and burn. Mars has a thin atmosphere as well but that may make the trails even longer in the sky.

The Earth passed through the tail of Halley's Comet in May of 1910 and put on an amazing show for those who witnessed it. I can't wait to see what pics the rovers and spacecraft get of this one..

I first saw some of these in a Photography college text book I had and I loved them. I've since made hundred of similar photos using the same Low lighting/Long Exposure technique. Works great with sparklers on the 4th of July as well as LED throwies. Set the DSLR camera on a tripod with a cable release or set the

Looks like a match. The tiny winglets are almost invisible except in a couple frames.

First flight is on a Delta IV rocket that was just stood up vertical a few days ago. Flying it on a proven rocket minimizes the risk a bit. There was talk in the past about clearing the Delta IV for human lift and this helps that cause as well.

I love this one. It's like he got sunk in a martian hole and is looking up at you.

That is Awesome! Click on the Flickr feed to see the details.

Interesting stuff. I read the article and it says the rate of absorption is at different speeds (seconds to minutes) based on heat and the environment. I did think this was going to be something like a halon fire suppression when I read the title.
