They wouldn't sell. Jalopnik and it's readers GROSSLY overstate how many people want Euro cars here and that truck is no exception. For whatever reason about 90% of Jalopnik thinks the 200+ million people in this country would buy exactly what they would and that they are what the market wants. Nothing could be more

You know, in Sweden where headlights are required all times of day (now you may use DRLs in daylight, since a few years), the low beam is on in the standard position for the lighting switch.

First of all thank you Jason for taking the time to explain the purpose of those lines. While most Jalops realize that they are there so that folks in wheelchairs can have extra space especially if they need to deploy a ramp, it seems far too many people just think they are an "extra space."

Haha. Alright overly sensitive Sally.

People will continue to give their unjustified, inexperienced, commentary on these vehicles. The way I look at it is the more people there are to negatively publicize them, the better chance I have of continuing to own these works of art for years. Of course, most are just upset they couldn't find one that wasn't

24 spark plugs(yes 2 per cylinder) and #9 fuel injector(~3.6k)

This story is an example of how to make us tough car guys cry.

I don't remember cutting onions. My feels.

This is awesome, and the brand strategist who thought this up deserves a raise.

You know it's much safer to just crash into the other car. I've taught my kids that. If it's a choice of running off the road or hitting a car, hit the other car. They crush, tree's don't. I can always buy them another car. Same thing for deer. Brake straight and mow them down but stay on the road.

Lol. You're right, they'll either learn or get electrocuted.

The Average Joe will learn how to use Google and visit Home Depot real quick if they get a four-thousand dollar bill.

Yeah but for the "average Joe" playing with electrical systems is something few people have knowledge and experience on. Oh and the stealership can really suck it!

At this point how do you define sports car? Aggressive styling?

I'd like to do a little history on the origin of the 25-year rule, actually.

Great piece, Patrick. You should do more full-length stuff.

Not legal due to safety and emissions

Could you guys do a series on this ? Like in-depth articles, and pointing out what we (enthusiasts) can do to combat this bullshit law?

How dare you talk bad about a Volvo on Jalopnik ? hurr durr boxy wagon derp 400k miles merp reliability

Can someone please explain to me why you'd spend the extra $3k to have this over a Land Cruiser? I guess for some people the grille of the Toyota isn't quite pointy enough.
