You’re absolutely insane, my man.

Ethanol is a problem, not a solution.

Because changing it wouldn’t be practicable due to it being so old. You’re not going to retool for a 10 year old platform. It would defeat the purpose of having a 10 year platform. I addressed this in my post, but I suppose I should have said “where practicable” instead of “where possible”.

1st Gear:

Wow. It looks way worse out of the camo, even in glamour shots. Did not expect that.

Hah, the Jeep group is remarkably similar. The “TJ was the last real Jeep” crowd is the best.

Since we’re throwing down mindfucks; I drive a lifted and locked wrangler on 35s and I’m looking at the new Defender as a replacement.  Making both the Jeep and LR purist groups squirm is something I certainly consider a perk, as both of those groups are absolutely unbearable.

Yesssssss, old Defender community. Let the hate flow through you...

I like the cut of your jib, and went the same route for a while. Mine fits a queen memory foam mattress, and absolutely does not allow you to sit up in the dark without smashing your face on the roof. I only needed that harsh reminder once or twice.

Also 4.  #overland, remember?  If you’ve been to an overland get together, you know that subset spends money like an American in Toronto.

I’m so “meh” about this engine. I don’t know why the internet screams for modern diesels. The range is nice, and would be my primary deciding factor... but its not enough to justify the cost and added complexity. I’ve never wanted for more low end when off road (35s, 4.10s), and honestly I’m not feeling the added

For everyone who doesn’t understand roof top tents and the like, let me explain. They aren’t for off roading. They aren’t for weekend camping. They are for a specific subset of extended vehicle based travel.

Ok, but I also want to know more about that hat.

RTT all the things.  Jam “Overland” so far down people’s throats that they’re sick of it and piss off to some other trend.

Jesus Aaron, even when I generally agree with you, I still find you to be an absolute raving idiot. Your type of clickbait emotionally fueled tabloid “journalism” is cringey as hell.

I mean, to be fair (to be faaaiiirrr), I got a ticket for hopping the median in the way of my u-turn.

I certainly know that when the JK dies (probably at least 2 years off), I will be cross shopping the Defender, the Gladiator, and the Bronco.

Sorry, I should have said “most effective method”.  And yeah... I’m sure that’s the entire reason.

Right, but guess what... this is the method we have for communication with the company making the rules. This method brings the issue to light, and increases pressure because its a public method that has the ability to snowball. You can’t say its ineffective, because if it was, Deadspin would still have a comment
