Admittedly I’m terrible for this, but there are a lot of vehicles that I hate the styling of at first, and then have grow on me. This is one of them.  Same with the current gen F150, AND F250.  The Jeep Cherokee is still fugly though.  The new Silverado also comes in a really nice bluish colour, which I am a sucker

Sure. You “get it”. Until you actually have to pay the purchase price and realize you’re getting absolutely dick all in features.

Came here to say this. The masses of stock rusty TJ Sport owners, or those that “had a Jeep when Jeeps were good” will never buy what they beg for anyway. Here you have the one manufacturer churning out a true off road vehicle, with freaking 33s from the factory(!!!), and all they get is shit on with every iteration.

Wow. It’s the 2013 Mazda 3's happier, taller step-sibling, with the ass of a Discovery Sport. Hideous. I love the cycle though. Crossovers are becoming 4 door hatch backs again... but with AWD, and even worse derivative styling.

Unfortunately, from what I’ve been told, it’s not integrated.  It’s basically an after market unit just tacked on.  If this turns out to be wrong, I’ll be quite happy.

I apologize for being a dick, and thus not communicating clearly. My point was that the $45k version (not the $60k with every available option) is still the best truck in its class. Removal of any of the options you listed doesn’t change that, and most of those options are above and beyond what are available on the

I’m pretty happy with this thing so far. I do have some issues, like the lack of a trailer brake controller, re-using the JL rear doors for what should be a market segment hammer blow is just cheap, the bed is shallow, and no stamped tailgate/tacked on backup cam just bug me.

Except its not $60k. You should try actually reading about the product you plan to troll, so as to not look like a fool.

Apparently that 5000lb trailer had a 600 lb tongue weight, so that shouldn’t be the problem.  The trailer did have surge brakes though, which is likely the reason it felt so odd.  Personally I think its absolutely stupid that there’s no brake controller.

Totally agree, and was one of my first comments.  What a missed opportunity.  I won’t be a first year buyer, so hopefully by the time mid cycle refresh rolls around, we’ll see one stamped.

I guess you forgot about all those Toyota frame failures that had to be replaced eh?  And comparing your 2005 Truck price point is ridiculous.

People act like the off road capability is not a valid feature worthy of a price premium, nor is the customization and infinite after market, on a vehicle primarily made to be an off road adventure toy. It’s a bit odd, really.

I like the cut of this man’s jib.

I’m not sure why so many people here are assuming you can only have a RTT or a ground tent.

Honestly... just save yourself the hassle of modding and maintaining a vehicle not built for the purpose you’re going to use it for.  Everything the Forester should do, it can do stock.

The roof tent thing is primarily for ease of set up and take down. I don’t have one, but I off road and camp with people who do. We are typically moving from day to day, and they can set up or pack up in seconds. They also take up no space inside the vehicle, and can typically be closed up with a mattress, bedding,

How clapped out?  Let’s just say if it was a Jeep, you’d probably already have bought it...

Personally, I think that thing’s fuckin’ hot.

Andrew, its both ironic and disappointing that you bring up Furiosa, and then immediately (two sentences later!!)misidentify music that is actually from Mad Max: Fury Road in the video showing this thing off.

These are off road specific for the most part.
