I hate these rumour mill Wrangler articles.
I hate these rumour mill Wrangler articles.
How the hell is this not actual journalism? The test is completely objective and shows an AWD vehicle's response to the front wheels having no traction.... which is nothing. This is a total failure of the AWD system in one of two ways. Either A) The system does not provide power to rear wheels when front wheels…
Sigh.
What kind of truck buyer am I? Not the kind that would ever buy a light duty pickup. I'll take a this-gen Ford F-250. Right before the new ones come out.
God I hate when that happens. There's always that split second where you have to fight the natural reaction to flip the fuck out.
How the hell are people even allowed to sit there?
Some major news outlets could stand to have the same sort of consideration.
Ahhhhh, fail on my part. I didn't even pick up on the sport distinction.
You know that the LR4 is the Discovery outside of North America right? Also, above 20" is pretty damn good fording for a stock auto. The LR4 has a fording depth of 24" so I think you're probably correct.
Slap in a small turbo diesel, make the body out of aluminium, and then call it a day. Integrate the wind shield to the body if you want. It's not worth the hassle to put down any more.
If I was that guy... I'd definitely buy one.
That has got to be fake...
Take a forester instead of an outback, and that wouldn't be a problem either. Disco ground clearance is only 8", add maybe another 4" for that cladding. Total 12", Forester depth 14". And technically the official fording depth hasn't been announced for the Disco. Wouldn't surprise me if it was right around there. …
I would have loved to see some '90s Subaru outback come out right after and do the same course.
You are 100% correct, and Ford has stated many times that it's an augmentation of the true engine sound. They are not pumping V8 sounds into the smaller engine vehicles. R&T needs to get their shit together.
Didn't the designers specifically say that the engine noise is just an augmented version of the ACTUAL engine noise?
This post hits the nail on the head so hard. One of the best posts I've seen, as it evokes all emotions in me. It's funny, because of the truth to it. It also makes me sad and angry... because of the truth to it. RIP Defender, Camel Trophy, and anything Land Rover that was actually adventurous.
Typical mob mentality. People just want to break shit and be general assholes in the name of whatever the buzz words are this week.
So you're telling me that the Ranger is the best fucking mid size truck out there, and we can't buy it.
I live in Canada, and ride. It's only a little 250 Ninja, but it's a fun toy for around town in the summer. I don't need a road hog or a track beast. Due to this, I was able to buy my bike outright with cash. Fuck the carbs on this thing though... When I have enough money burning a hole in my pocket, I will…
