In that case, I'm happy to have misunderstood.

There's a Ford Explorer Sport Trac in my family with this feature, and it has surprised me how often it truly comes in handy.

Am I reading this right?

What market does this cater to...

Half of this thread needs to be deleted... took me 10 minutes of scrolling before I found a reasonable post to argue with.

The JK8 is a joke, especially when dealers try to sell one. What began life as a 4 door sport now has 2 doors, a puck lift, and a truck bed, and is $55k.

Lets be honest; the days of this being impressive are long behind us. Any new med-high end 4x4 with a decent traction control system can effectively brake lock the diffs.

I think the disappointing part is this:

I can only see 20 MPG in the "sweet spot" with my 2012 4 door Rubicon.

Not gonna lie, if they brought that over here, I would seriously consider hitting that.

Craziest and coolest both at once... Then again, maybe I'm biased.

Seriously! He drove over a freaking trailer hitch that lifted the vehicle from the ground, and his first thought isn't "Maybe I should pull over and check for damage" it's "Let's keep driving home." Idiot.

Completely baseless comment is baseless. Compared to the number of crashes attributed to any specific vehicle, the percentage that cause injury or death is low. Take that and apply it to a vehicle that there are very few of, and you get less crashes, resulting in even less injury or death.

I'm confused as to how this article shows how well the Model S is designed? The guy ran over something that would likely do significant damage to any car, and low and behold, it did. I'm not bashing the vehicle, but I certainly don't see why it deserves any praise from this article.

I want to thank you for posting that stop motion video. Amazing.

What about...
Eh?
Eh?

My most memorable brake check incident was in my first car... A Ford Festiva. A guy in an S10 brake checked me, only to find out my little breaks weren't so good. After slamming into the rear of him and calling the cops, he took off. Still makes me shake my head.
