Gotta say, this news kills it for me. I was hoping for the original castmembers, but definitely Warburton, that character was practically made to be played by him. My enthusiasm just dovetailed.

“no one ever grabbed my shoulder and everyone was very nice.”

Speaking of women being marginalized by their male coworkers...

I’m agog. I can still remember Bill Clinton being asked,”Boxers or briefs?” at an MTV town hall meeting, and Bob Dole falling off a platform while campaigning. The Mark Foley fallout, the permanent dyslexia of W, the Swift Boating of John Kerry, and the plague of Palin.

I feel like insisting the woman is a liar and attacking her character is sealing your fate as the guilty party. If you didn’t do it, why not just 1) shut the hell up as you are representing a political figure and just do your job or 2) say something like “I don’t remember this happening, it was a crazy day. I’m sorry

Which is what makes it terrifically curious that Breitbart reporter Patrick Howely tweetstormed about how his colleague probably wasn’t assaulted.

It’s unfortunate that Donald Trump didn’t manhandle her himself, as there’s no way his tiny tiny hands would be able to actually cause pain.

When you’re even being shitty to YOUR side, you have a problem. Way to lock down the women’s vote, Trump. Let me guess, his official statement on this will be “I love women/women love me!”.

My boiling rage at a woman being assaulted is being drowned out by the sadness from the knowledge that they all...and I do mean ALL, will still vote for this monster.

She did basically the same think with European history in the books, and honestly I thought it was a great choice. It made the world much richer and more believable.

she was obviously attempting to incorporate the culture, not appropriate it. Jeeze

i am still, possibly naively, shocked about how many hateful racist assholes showed up here to spew garbage.

UGH!!!! This angers me to no end. Native futurisms is a real thing and I can name at least half a dozen writers from different tribes who she could have consulted. We are not one homogeneous culture, but thousands of different cultures with varying degrees of spirituality and stories that go along with that.

I have a friend (white) who wrote a whole picture book, with illustrations and everything, about a Native American folk tale. I told him to contact a Native American professor who speaks out regularly about appropriation to make sure he wasn’t being offensive. She charged him a nominal amount for her time and told him

proof

As a Native woman, I would say that the issue is not that she included Native Americans in these stories (and no, it’s not cultural appropriation to simply mention us as I’ve seen people saying here). One issue is that she appropriated a specific story that is sacred to a particular tribe and not to be used by

That’s an obnoxious myth pushed by cultural appropriation police

I think there is only one group out there that really can comment on this.

Argh.

I love J.K, Rowling and I’m really hoping she takes the time to hear and understand the criticisms being made.
