I think anyone who watched wrestling in the 80s would tell you: Those Mounties are tougher than they look.

Speaking of things that almost happened, thousands of assholes also almost said that lightning was God's way of voicing his objection.
"...and honestly, in our production truck out of everyone, there was only one person who asked 'Is this going too far?' We all thought: This is a great, emotional, historic moment. Let it go."
Buh...but Tebow was RUN OUT OF THE LEAGUE for being Christian!
This is how I would explain. Follow very carefully because this can get really complex and tough for a 7 year old to understand:
"They love each other."
But, Tim, what do I say when my seven year old asks me why the liberal thought police is trying to force Michael Sam down America's collective throat when he had an underwhelming combine and racked up the bulk of his numbers during three games in his final season at Missouri? My seven year old, by the way, is Rush…
Ah, there is nothing more beautiful than a child's first objection to Christianity.
This is a difficult thing, because small children won't believe you when you tell them that Michael Sam is the first…
I don't come to deadspin to see two guys kissing. What do I tll my son when he sees this picture?
At this point, why would anyone want to become a referee/umpire for youth sports? It's got to be one of the more thankless jobs you can do.
I don't know why I even clicked on this. I knew it would just make me angry; it's not like I need a reminder that intolerant idiots exist. I'm glad this post exists, though, because these people should be shamed publicly.
This issue is as two-sided as race - which is to say it isn't two-sided at all. You can either be a normal, civilized person or a bigot. And making room for bigots only makes more bigots.
Again, it didn't cross their minds. A game about real relationships didn't include gays because they didn't think about it. That's my point. Also, why can't kids see that? Is it wrong for them to see it? They see plenty of 'normal' relationships.
When someone's beliefs consist of denying other people their happiness, I don't see any need to respect those beliefs.
that's the strategy of conservatives on everything they're on the wrong side of: howl and scream when you don't treat their definitively wrong ideas, and I use that term loosely, as equally valid. "Teach the controversy".
Okay! Let's cover some of your points.
No self-respecting Jordan fan will ever 'jump ship'...when the Bulls struggled in the early years of MJ's career, he didn't disappoint the fans by 'a-taking his talents' elsewhere. He never disappeared in the fourth quarter. He was always better in the playoffs than he was in the regular season.
