I think you are right to a point, but you are also justifying the video games leads to violence argument.  “Material like this affects the human psyche”... Maybe if it is your job (I wouldn’t want this job), but are you saying the same is true for players of the game?  I’m not convinced it affects most or any players.

I don’t even play mortal kombat games for some of the reasons mentioned in this article, I always kind of wondered what impact it has on the people coming up with the fatalities etc.
