I keep wondering if this entire show isn’t just Eleanor in limbo, working through everything in her life and her self in order to get to heaven, and Michael has been an unreliable narrator this whole time - he’s actually the Archangel playing a multitude of roles, all intended to spur fundamental, lasting change in

Arizona needs a good coach. They have had exactly three truly good seasons in the desert, and that was when Dave Tippett’s “broken clock” philosophy of coaching aligned with the roster makeup and got them to the Western Conference Finals in 2012 after years of the Friends of Gretzky clown show. Rick Tocchet is a

There was a tweet that said that Wolff is a discredit to the journalistic profession, that he is an bellwether of the deterioration of the craft, and that he’s almost certainly a dodgy weasel. The tweet went on to say that the book itself is likely 100% accurate.

She was tweeting four hours before she died. Entertaining to the end.

Having seen - and hated - The Disaster Artist, I am completely convinced that the only must-see piece of entertainment connected to The Room at this point is Robyn Paris’ mockumentary web series, The Room Actors: Where Are They Now?, on Funny Or Die.

Hear hear! I’ve seen the movie, read the short stories, and seen the musical, and from that compilation of experience the only thing that elevates any of these pieces of entertainment above anything other than mildly entertaining nostalgia is Darren McGavin as The Old Man in the movie.

He’s an appealing example of a man who has matured into someone decent from a fairly poor start.

Where can’t The Good Place go? Apparently, the answer is “Onstage to accept awards from the Hollywood establishment.” Rarely has a show so deserving been so thoroughly shut out from the recognition it deserves.

I am one of the Google Play Music subscribers. I switched from Spotify Premium because I was already in the tank for YouTube Red and YouTube TV, and I agree - the only really awful thing about GPM is its horrid interface.

A more perfect descriptor would be that she’s the dad from Better Off Dead, ruffling through a how-to book on how to speak to young people.

He seems really lucid on Twitter... outside of that, though, I don’t know.

I can’t help but notice that the line, “This isn’t a particularly great episode of Supergirl, but...” recurs rather frequently in these recaps.

I mean, the whole series is great. Picking a favorite is mostly an exercise in hair-splitting. But none of the eps stayed with me the way “Apollo One” did. The quiet desperation and grief was so well done, particularly by Kevin Pollak as Shea and James Rebhorn as Storms, that it still resonates to me after 19 years

Nothing about her role in Contact, sadly. That was my first introduction to her. Her preternatural intelligence and composure in that role perfectly set up Jodie Foster as the adult.

All due respect, but for me the finest hour of From the Earth to the Moon is “Apollo One,” the second episode in the miniseries.

I mean, this is AL FRANKEN we’re talking about. His closet is as full of skeletons as any drug-addled SNLer from the ‘70s is, if we’re being honest. That he’s aged into a genteel older gentleman who retains a penchant for stupid, gross humor shouldn’t surprise anyone given that in his earliest days with the show that

I’m sure I’m not the only (or first) person to notice, but the stripe on the shirt is the same color pattern as Tom Baker’s Fourth Doctor’s scarf.

Didn’t you watch Arrival? I bet he speaks Heptapod.

Gretchen Carlson came off less as a crusader for harassed women or champion for women’s rights, and more of someone ready and willing to exploit the #MeToo movement for personal gain. She was fishing for applause lines at every moment of her interview with Colbert. When Stephen confronted her about the disconnect
