@Palmerlime: Oooh, that's good. Now do the Superman rumors.

@iheartsoda: Which kinda brings me back to my original point. By having our culture, society and religion all preferring and praising monogamy, it's basically saying that our sex lives ARE other people's business, whether we like it or not, whether it should be or not, and I don't think that's right.

@claytron5000: As I'm sure he's the only one keeping it together at the moment anyway, that'll definitely kill it.

I've said all along, I'll believe an Avengers movie when I plop my butt down in a theater and see it.

I knew this sounded too good to happen. Plus, it's Fox, so there you go. My inherent pessimism says this will never see the light of day.

@serenada: I have to admit to a bit of a mancrush on Jeffrey Dean. I've loved him in Saupernatural, Watchmen, and Losers, and I can see why the girls find him hunky.

Looks fun to me. It can make up for the crap year that this year was. I hardly saw anything in the theater.

@serenada: I liked it, too. Plus anything with Zoe Saldana in it...

@iheartsoda: I have no doubt. It was the same men who led the early church, demonizing other faiths where women were held sacred (or at least equal) and basically relegated them to second-class citizens, barely above slaves, all so the men could claim power.

@Gofygure: The "few rare exceptions" were in reference to the animals, who on occasion mate for life, like wolves or penguins.

You learn all sorts of crazy stuff here at io9. Bravo!

@Rasselas: True, but what was the impetus? I don't believe it was simply "we choose to because we can", but more an artifact of early power and control through religion. Look at the divorce rates in our country. 50%. We may choose monogamy, but it would seem we're fighting a losing battle. Why fight it? What if we

Monogamy today is a function of our culture and society (largely driven by religion). I believe biologically and instinctually, our bodies are designed to procreate often and with multiple partners to survive the species, just like any other animal (though probably males moreso than females, and yes, I realize there

@Ghost in the Machine: Well, sure, but that's all it will be. Cranked out. That won't be enough time for me to make sure it's something good.

I won't get to see her launch, but I did get to see her on the pad a few weeks ago. It was awesome.

@akacrash: Yeah, I thought that too. I guess they didn't think it was a big deal since she's not a regular.
