@collex: Yeesh. Some people have no imagination.

@Big-Tool: I like this idea. I'm a sucker for redheads in general.

@btgoss: It's always just one more, always the last job before you get out, that's the one that gets you.

@Orionsaint: Yeah, something not quite right about the lips.

Well, as long as the aliens aren't freaking deathly allergic to water, I'm in. This sounds cool.

Ratza fratza stinking work grumble grumble can't see video shitfuckgoddamnit.

@CoffinDodger (If the typos crap. Blame my keyboard): I have a 15-month old, and in the process of reading about child-rearing, came across this very interesting point: at that age, they simply aren't capable of seeing the world from any other viewpoint other than their own. Thus you get the tantrums, crying, etc.

I like her, but at this point she's locked into typecasting as the tough chick. Unless that's the lead role (which she has yet to play), I think the the writers tend to: a) rely on killing her off to add some emotional weight to her otherwise two-dimensional and unimportant character, or b) someone's gotta die to make

The Road Warrior meets Constantine?

What about the problem of delay? Even if we determine there is an alien broadcast and then respond, it could take hundreds of years for them to receive it, hundreds more for their response to reach back to us, etc. It's not like you could have a meaningful conversation.

@Triffid: Science and Education, both. Much as I love football, I have a hard time justifying the exorbitant monies involved while teachers and scientists get "downsized" more and more every year.

I'm gonna hold off until they have legs.

I always liked this one, originally from the Crow novel by Janes O'Barr and then used in the movie:

@Steve Williams: Love that book. One of only a few to be read more than once.

Somehow I just know this ties into the bees dying off. Maybe once they're all gone we'll all revert back to primitive apes, and then Cesaer can make his big move. Damn you all to hell!

@Big-Tool: We're thinking the same. Make a family vaca out of it when we go.

Anyone else think Mjolnir looks...plasticky?

Ha! Lightspeed Arts is still around? Dang. I bought a sweet Trek Enterprise print from them years ago in Denver.

LOL @ invisible jet.
