Thank you for the work that you do. I worked for ten years in the foster care system and I know how hard a job it is.

Man, you can piss right the fuck off. What do YOU do to contribute to society and to help others? Social workers have a helluva hard job and get no glory for the work they do.
I left roller derby, for which I was a NSO, after being told that if I don’t like the male skater/photog who raped me, that I just don’t have to talk to him, but they like his photography and he’s a dues-paying member, so I, as a non-paying, non-skating official, could go fuck myself. He even gave them a written…
who’s stopping you?
I have never seen this show but I just would like to say that if I died and the photo they chose to put by my casket was a selfie of me in a beanie in a car I would be LIIIIIIVID.
I mean I can’t wait for the day when men decide to stop participating in things so I can finally go to a party and not have to worry about being touched inappropriately or having gross comments made to me or being hounded around the room by some fucking dude. Oh, please, no, don’t stay home! Whatever shall we do…
Logic wold be not to touch women you aren’t in a relationship with inappropriately, or at all, because there is no reason to do it.
An editor’s note that accompanies the article also accuses Quadzilla of grabbing a skater’s breasts and sending the editor an unsolicited and inappropriate message.
“I know what verbal and nonverbal cues/signals are, and I know what consent is and I would never knowingly touch someone in a sexual way without consent.”
“Roller derby is probably one of the last places you’d expect to see a textbook example of #MeToo.”
YEh the minute it became co-ed, this should no longer have been a surprise. (Obviously still something that happened even when women only, but I’m willing to bet exponentially less so)
Sorry not sorry, I have conflicting…
I can’t co-sign this one. From a foster / adoptive scenario, we (black folk) can’t have it both ways. We complain when white folk goto Africa and adopt; we say there are adoptable kids in the U.S. When white folk foster / adopt domestic black kids, we complain that we should be the ones adopting. After going through…
Literally while checking to see if my water had broken, the triage nurse asked me if I knew “who the baby daddy was.” The white man holding my hand wasn’t my cab driver. Three months later, a daycare employee handed my husband the wrong baby when he went to pick up our son. He stood there holding the baby because he…
At this point in my life I literally cannot count the number of times something like this happened to me or one of my brothers. On no less than three occasions my mother was asked if she was a basketball and/or football coach while at the ER (we broke a lot of bones growing up). She is 5'4" and round. She is not a…
also the only reason i know how her name is spelled is because i binged all of riverdale this weekend and am obsessed with the entire cast now
when my ex called off our wedding, i kept the ring. he was at least smart enough to not ask for it back. and i sold it for twice as much as he paid for it.
If WIC and SNAP didn’t exist, that cashier probably wouldn’t have a job. Both of those programs provide a good portion of the profit for grocery stores. The original food stamp program was created to not only feed the hungry, but to prevent grocery stores and farmers from going bankrupt during the Great Depression.
I bet she is the kind of bitch the squeezes your bread and throws the produce in the bag.
I bet the odds are very good that cashier also uses WIC to make ends meet and we are seeing an epic case of projection here.
“She thought he was nice, but he said he doesn’t have the autonomy to terminate her.”
