I think the issue here is that your mother has been insulting her, and instead of keeping your mother the hell away from her and/or addressing it with your mother, you told your daughter not to let it bother her. Which doesn’t work, especially as a teen who is dealing with weight gain.

Speaking as the child of a very mentally ill parent, please, please, please do as much as you can to get the kids away from your brother. Take them to lunch, take them to movies, spend time with them. When your only frame of reference is a sick parent, your life can be very difficult and stressful.

Yuck, I would avoid her at all costs. She sounds like an overbearing nightmare.

Oooh this is not very good advice at all, actually. Especially the follow up piece! You’re just going to annoy people who might hire you. I seriously am busy at work, and don’t have the time to deal with unsolicited resumes. I don’t know what you do, but this is not how things are done. Read Ask a Manager before

If it’s something that a middle class white lady might do, the left has to demonize it. It’s just like, the rules of feminism.

I honestly think I watched a different show than everyone else? Bill treated Milo like the petulant child that he is. He didn’t affirm Milo’s views.

I love Larry Wilmore, but I didn’t love that show.

She didn’t abort. She’s an opportunist who made money through speaking engagements fighting abortion.

I was raised that way. They are not misguided. Their choices are deliberate. The people who I grew up with were being raised to form an army for Christ, to weasel our ways into positions of power, so we could take over.

Try on bridesmaid dresses at David’s Bridal or Macy’s.

My first uncharitable thought is that any parent who puts a child in a Trump shirt is an asshole.

I wouldn’t buy a house in a flood plain, even if the previous owners did some work to ameliorate the risk. We looked at an adorable house that we fell in love with (exposed brick!), and the required flood insurance was ridiculously expensive.

With those skills, he could always major in business and work to make corporate America more friendly to the LGBT community. Diversity initiatives and staff are a HUGE thing, and you don’t have to be a lawyer.

I’m a lawyer. I do not think he should switch to pre-law. Maybe that’s a good minor, but not a great major. My BA is in English, and I have friends with all manor of Liberal Arts degrees, and a ton of people who have science undergrad degrees.

They all know someone who had their SSN stolen by an “illegal” because they saw someone on the internet reference it. And yeah, I think identity theft should equal deportation if you’ve destroyed someone’s life with your fraud, like by stealing their tax return or somesuch.
