They are gimmicks. I've done P90 and P90x. There's nothing special about the moves you do on the video, diet and exercise alone can do the same work. In fact, the routine is actually terrible if you want to also put on some muscle or simply retain them.

As someone who has done p90 and p90x and has been into fitness and eating healthy for about 4 years, I can tell that just about any exercise will do the job just fine if you eat properly according to your goals. However, if you have any interest in building muscles, I suggest staying away from all of these programs.…
