They can and they have. Chernobyl is the most obvious example—were you not born yet to know this? Nuclear power is basically a controlled nuclear explosion. One screwup in the controls and you’ve got a big problem.

Precisely. As a long-time subscriber to Adbusters magazine, there’s no way you’re going to convince me ads are something I or my children need invading our lives. (Same reason I don’t listen to the radio, which is now about 30% content and 70% ads). Advertisers can go ahead and think it’s their “right” to shove ads…
Who thought it was a good idea that people running NUCLEAR REACTORS have no degrees? They may be trained, but they’re working on top of a bomb. Really?
Do NOT feel guilty about blocking ads. https://www.adbusters.org
If you’re sitting for 35 minutes to drive one mile, you’re doing life wrong. No matter how crappy the weather is.
Yup. I’ve done this. Not for the data but the cheaper phone option sooner.
Any accounts anywhere that have low requirements for small business checking?
And if you want to put both 32bit and 64bit on it (a good idea) you’ll need 6GB minimum.
Oh I yes, I do this. Makes every penny spent traveling worth it. Gives you new eyes for everything.
Oh my God, yes, I don’t know what they were thinking recommending it. It’s the armpit of California and has literally nothing going on at all, nothing to recommend it whatsoever. Any town that makes Bakersfield look like paradise is not a place you want to live.
The crazy harsh chemicals work—until your kids get it again, which they will. I was willing to do it once or twice but it's not a good long-term solution. I felt like I was giving them cancer literally every time I put that crap on them. I couldn't even breathe around it. You know what DOES work? Salt. http://smile.ama…
Doesn't work, doesn't suffocate anything.
THANK YOU
Um, no, I have nothing to do with the company. Look at the ingredients—it's not the regular drugstore stuff. You'll see Sodium Chloride. That's salt. I'm not sure why lice die from it but they do and it's great.
The comb out method? You have time to take off work and do this all day, every day? For days on end? Yeah,…
Sorry, guess I missed my coffee that day. It might benefit from more comment, however. Most (not all, I realize, but MOST) families are either all iOS or all Android because it's a pain to manage a mix, and the parents probably already have an investment in one side's apps/devices or the other. The combination of…
This is, like, regular summer in a regular childhood. I don't see anything particularly "campy" in this, and clearly the parent running this had better be unemployed.
The iOS app is misleading. The kid's device MUST be Android at the moment for the app to work.
As a parent of 11 year-old twin girls, I can tell you your technique stops working after year nine or so.
It should be noted SugarSync just killed off their free plan and pretty much all plans below 60GB. So now you're looking at a minimum of $75 a year.
Indeed. I had twins, and if we all slept and ate for the day that was a good day. Nothing else really mattered for several years. And eleven years later, I can honestly say still not much "productivity" happens unless they are in school.
