between obnoxious and...to finish this sarcasm, please check out my column on autotrader dot come slash oversteer.

The Volvo will actually start up in the morning. Advantage: Volvo.

I like old, albeit polished, well-kept old. (I can’t stand the whole shabby look, either.) What’s maddening was that it started out as “here’s a 1905 Craftsman bungalow!” and most of the outside visual cues that made it uniquely a Craftsman house from 1905 got taken off in the process of the redo. It was about like

No temptation to demolish those concrete piers and arches for a contemporary “open” feel?

What? Seriously? I know of several with that front porch treatment in my old hometown, at least one of which was tackily enclosed. Besides, wouldn’t something slightly uncommon be more desirable than something that could have been plucked from any new neotraditional subdivision?

Must be the publicity from that Davidian cult with David Koresh from a few years ago... property values started going up after their compound got burned to the ground... lol

The original had character, the new one is basic as fuck. It’s like somebody putting a Camry front end on your Saab.

You’re wrong.

Please sit in your car with the engine running, in your garage with the garage doors closed, and think for as long as your tiny shitbrain is capable of doing so, about the very stupid thing you’ve posted.

....You realize you posted this comment on a website dedicated to reporting the news to the exact type of people who would open such a garage, right?

Did somebody say wagon?

BMW E39 touring represent!

Neither, haha. It’s a 540i touring with the 4.4L V8. It has the M5 front bumper and M-Parallel wheels from an E38. It’s a bit of a hodgepodge but I love it. Eventually I’ll look into giving it some more power, but for now I’m happy with the roughly 300hp it has.

Manual, nice! Mine was $5000 but it’s an auto. It’s been totally reliable though, especially after I overhauled the cooling system. I bought it with 174k miles last year, and it’s at 192k miles now, I love it to death.

E39 wagon is the answer to every question. Mine was $4200 and I could probably sell it on Bring a Trailer for 9 grand tomorrow (it’s a manual).

welp, not german... but red.... wagon! this is what i bought with my tdi buyback money. i will never have a not-wagon again.

The Saab bit doesn’t surprise me. I have a love hate relationship with Swedish automobiles (leaning heavily to the love side, though). 540i wagons make me very happy to see on the road, keep it up!

lol, ok mister anonymous internet UI expert. It seriously works just fine. Im not saying it’s one of the better interfaces out there, but it’s also better than other I have used. The mapping is good, just pop in a newer dvd, the traffic works great, the screen options are nice, once you get used to the wheel it isn’t
