I DD a 2000 540it as well. Bought it for $5k with almost no maintenance records in LA. No rust and it already had the chain guides replaced so it was a pretty good deal. Aside from a radiator cracking and a driveshaft center bearing going out, I haven’t really had anything break since I bought it last July, and I’ve

Hot take: Its an FCA product so the quality will be at almost dollar store levels of luxury.

I DD my 2001 5 Series wagon that I bought off Craigslist for 2K. Had a 1" thick stack of maintenance records though.

I voted CP because word is this car is a rustbucket. Its from NH, got shipped to Florida but the sale fell through due to lack of structural integrity

Extra low mileage Murcielago for sale. Recently serviced, fresh paint. Only 37k miles! Asking $250,000 or best. No lowballers, this is a RARE car, I know what I have.

When you slam it, don’t.....

Is anyone else tired of this “slammed” garbage? It would be great if it had a more reasonable ride height.

Well call me superhuman then, I guess. I’ll resist that thing’s lure all day, every day, until the minute he un-fucks-it-up by giving it a reasonable ride height. As far as I’m concerned, he might as well bolt a big aluminum wing on the trunk until he does.

2 friends and I all had lifted Wranglers in high school (late 90's-early 00's). The seniors typically parked in the first row that went right into a grassy area. Everyone backed into their spots because leaving at 2:30 was a nightmare. Well, in the morning, we’d back our jeeps’ rear tires into the grass and floor

I’ll be 46 next month, yet I’m positive there is still lingering damage from my HS hoonage. Yes, I still have a written warning for 70.... In a school zone.

I did the same, but it was on the front lawn of this horrible customer who stiffed me on a tip after making me come back twice to deliver her pizza because “her husband had the checkbook”

I may or may not have done the same to a baseball diamond when I was in high school. The statute of limitations has long since expired, tho.

The USA 300 Touring was a trim level of the sedan, not a wagon like those in Japan, Austrailia and Europe.

How would he go broke daily driving a new car? Wouldn’t the warranty take care of any issues?

How did you friend go broke exactly trying to daily it if he bought new and only had it 2 years? Any repair work would have been covered under warranty, not to mention BMW’s free maintenance plan.

And yet you could actually conceive a kid and get him to high school faster than the 86 will go 0-60.

Yet stock vs stock it is substantially faster.

Except they’re the best driving BMWs of the current BMW world.

Emergency door release should be more visible. I mean, it is usually passengers, not owners, in the back seat, and do owners need to explain safety procedures for every guest?

“Why is it always the people with shitty cars that try and show out? No one gives a fuck about your 10-year-old V6 charger, I promise.”
