Awwwwww, that is extremely cute. :) It does help- I still don’t know exactly how I feel, but hearing parents talk about what makes them happy is giving me a much better picture on the whole experience, I think. I’m really loving this whole thread.

Thank you SO MUCH for both posts, because I’ve honestly never heard another perspective that sounds so much like my own. I also believed that I would one day feel that drive to want instead of not don’t want kids kick in, but it hasn’t, and here I am now, in this situation with my boyfriend. I’m also not a very

This is not sexytime noises, but I had a douchebro neighbor who would have loud dramatic fights with his whiny girlfriend at all hours, with the windows wide open, and my boyfriend and I started yelling advice out to them mid-fight, like “Girl, dump Jordan, he’s a toooolll!”

Yeah, my first time some gross older dude catcalled me, I was 12 and definitely NOT developed - I don’t think I was even wearing a bra at that point. There are just some nasty, grody dudes that like children.

God, I love him.

Thanks, you’re totally right.

Awwwww, your son sounds incredibly cute. :) And hellz yeah to dinosaur nuggets.

But everyone loves my pelfies (pooping selfies)…..

Thank you!! I am also bristly and introverted, and I’m glad to hear that this doesn’t automatically apply to kids. And I think if I did have kids, one would be the perfect number for me.

What is your secret for this divine angel baby???? Because she sounds adorable.

Thanks for the perspective!! Your kids sound like great, considerate people. :) I know very little about kids so I have wondered if it’s possible to build in age-appropriate amounts of space for yourself (like, having a two year old play with her toys by herself in one end of the kitchen for 10 minutes while you make

Thanks for the insight, that is encouraging to hear!!

Wooooooo we can have a club, with wine and indecision!! My boyfriend has thrown down the gauntlet and definitely wants to have a kid, and I have to decide whether I’m in (terrifying) or out (heart-breaking). I’m sending you good vibes in making a decision- I’m sure that whatever you decide will be the right one.

Thank you for the tip, my rabbit may chew the bathroom door whenever I close it, but at least she had to be quiet about it.

THANK YOU for writing all of that out, it was beautiful and I went all mushy on the inside over how much you love your little girl. You guys sound like such a beautiful little family. I’m just so, so terrified of taking that leap of faith over “should I have a baby?” and not finding that massive love on the other

PLEASE TELL ME MORE, skeptical person who changed her mind!! Because I also feel skeptical and not sure if I’m cut out for momming, but I’m scared of missing out on something awesome. What are awesome things about being a mom???

Awww, that’s such a nice description. What makes for a birds singing and flowers blooming season?? (I don’t really know how to say it, but I guess what I’m saying is that I feel like I know very little about kids but could probably make a list of what’s hard and scary about parenting but when people are like “but it’s

Even the shower?? Man, I don’t know if I have the stamina for that.

hahahah and today my rabbit peed on my laundry just as I was running out the door to work, so your kids are winning.

Whooof. I might never advance beyond bunny-level caretaking. Thanks for the answer.
