I like how you reply to yourself to create easy straw men to knock over. You edgelord you.

Christ, do people think the Doomsday Clock is actually a real thing?

Literally what I was about to type. Comments like this are why I appreciate it when other sites (i.e. Vox, or Waypoint) don’t have comments under their articles.

Shit. Yeah, was totally gonna say the same thing. Props

Dude is performing intense metacriticism of said rags. His methodology is on fleek!

God, FUCK you and everyone like you. You know what I am sick of? Coming to io9 comments section and seeing shit lord takes littered all over the fucking place.

You know, I may not always agree with you, but your articles are always well thought out and genuine, not to mention you are demonstrably great to people, even when they give you reason not to be. Just wanted to say that you’re awesome.

I’ll tell you what I do enjoy though; I like coming to I09 and reading about all the cool new stuff coming out, or the BtS info on movies and shows, or the articles about scientific progress.

I’m not a fan of said pop-culture rag posting articles about how insufferable the fans of sci-fi are.

Star Wars fans are very much products of our time. Without going through it, it’s hard to make someone else understand. There was, quite literally, nothing like it at the time, and it drove a sea change in how movies are made, marketed and merchandised. Which is to say, It was all new and exciting if you’re a kid,

That isn’t quite true. The fair use exemption does actually apply in this case. The copyright holders are not any closer to having a case than Zillow was.

Um. Wow. There’s a lot to unpack here.

First off, I’d encourage you to read up on the concept of “fair use”. Use of a copyrighted work for the purpose of academic criticism (or scathing mockery) of that work is a clear case of fair use. There’s probably some wiggle room here over whether a photograph of a thing can be

You forgot the caveat that there’s no need for compensation or attribution when they’ve been released ‘into the wild’ so to speak. These photos are sourced out to all sorts of real estate listings for no cost. They can’t decide to exclude someone who makes use of them in a completely legal way just because they don’t

Zillow gets its images from local MLS services, which in turn gets them from the real estate agents who market the properties. Each step in that chain has an EULA with an irrevocable, permanent license to use the images for any business purpose forever, but not a release of copyright. So really the people she’s

Iagree; still adore IM3 for Downey’s flippant exterior masking a truly shaken man, as well as showing that even without the suit he’s still “Iron Man”. Marvel scored a major coup scooping up as talented a thespian as Downey to headline its universe building.

The second half of Civil War was Iron Man 4. It was surrounded by “Avengers 3: The Kitchen Sink,” and about 10 minutes of “Captain America: What About Bucky?”.

Yeah at the time of Iron man 2's release, I wasn’t as involved in internet blogs as I am today. I LOVED the movie. Then I came online and saw that everyone hated it lol. Doesn’t change my mind, nor should it. But I just wonder if much of Iron man 2's hate has to do with you know, internet hive mind. Mob mentality. I

What annoys me is how the nerd world has essentially turned on IM2 after initial positive borderline rave reviews. It’s ESPECIALLY annoying when IM2 is accused of having too much SHIELD/ Avengers stuff when we were SCREAMING for more worldbuilding nuggets from 2008 to 2012.

Wait...Uncle Ben is dead? GOD DAMN IT WHERE’S THE SPOILER WARNING??!!!!

I *never* heard that theory. Ever. Like, I would never have thought that could be “someone” in the MCU.
