And then my (also black) mother would’ve beat me black and blue for that horrendous spelling.

No, it isn’t. Most of those people, I guarantee, are from Delco or South Jersey. Possibly a few from NE Philly, which does house the worst the city has to offer.

Exactly. It’s difficult to find a more loathsome group of people than sports team owners, they have to have someone to protect them like a shield. Hell, the NRA does it for gun companies, too. It’s a solid PR strategy.
