I was expecting some egregious bullshit or a judgement call thing that takes too long when I saw the headline but this is...entirely correct.  I’m confused as to why anyone would be angry about that VAR call.

And those people, can fuck right off.  If he was spouting Orange Foolius’ talking points you’d call him a hero.

Hate and madness take the lives of far too many people the world over. If we were smart, as a species, we would focus more on helping those around us most in need of it. This is a tragedy, all you can do is grieve, process, reflect and then do your best to make the world a better, safer place.  I hope that this leads

I mean, last year he was.  I think Vela is better this year.

You don’t need a headset for AR, I have it on my phone right now.  You just hold the phone up and now your girlfriend has dog ears or you can see the Pokémon or what have you.  AR is already here and widespread in its use, no headset required; that’s the sort of ease of use VR needs to become mainstream.  I get that

I’ve used VR, it’s impressive but I don’t feel it’s as revolutionary as people say it is. Perhaps this is simply aa quirk in my personality, but I’ve spoken to others with similar views.

1. It’s still just...VR. All of that can be done without VR.

1. Yes, it’s $400...but that’s $400 on top of other costs, you either need to buy a console or a gaming PC (depending on the headset you bought). Without the console or PC the headset is useless. As for the idea that it’s used for lots more, I don’t think I buy that; most people use consoles as gaming platforms,

VR still has the same flaws it has had for the past couple of decades and until those issues are fixed, it’s just not going to be mainstream.

This is the real fix.  The big problem is that so many fighters cut weight drastically to be bigger and stronger than their opponents by endangering their own health that not doing so means putting yourself at a competitive disadvantage.

Yes, because they’re an employee (well more likely a contractor through another company, but acting like an employee) of the company. HIPAA allows that individual to access the data when needed for their job after they undergo proper training on HIPAA data handling.  As an example, in my IT work I’ve gone through

One report I read said the employees said they smelled gas but the manager said not to worry about it.

Generally speaking, in most of the world, opposing fans can’t buy home crowd tickets, only away fans tickets.  There’s usually a fence/wall and sometimes even police between the home and away fans.  An away fan going into home fan territory might be risking their life.  Beyond all of that, we aren’t talking about one

I mean, this makes a lot of sense.  Those sneakers were shitty to begin with and nobody was going to buy them except for a handful of people.  Nike looks like the good guy for pulling a “ racist” sneaker that wouldn’t have sold anyway, people are more likely to buy Nike stuff perceiving it to be a less racist company.

If they’re over, they may not get paid, or at least may not get paid as much.  The fighters want beam scales too.

Except digital scales are frequently less accurate than beam scales and the process of verifying their accuracy compared to a beam scale (and correcting it if need be) is longer.

If they’re over, they don’t get paid as much (or sometimes, at all), even if it’s by an ounce or two, so even the fighters want a beam scale used.

Sure, but that doesn’t necessarily account for small differences between people. There’ sa reason why beam scales tend to remain the standard in medical facilities: they’re accurate and reliable.

Electronic scales can be off by quite a bit and you won’t know it because...well it’s electric.  Since these weigh-ins need to be accurate to the pound, scale precision is pretty important.  It’s easier to verify the accuracy of a mechanical scale than it is to verify the accuracy of a digital one and it’s easier to
