Technically speaking, Australians don’t have a right to free speech.  It’s not in their constitution so...the government can at least say “we will arrest you if your service doesn’t properly remove hate speech”; now how well they can enforce it is another matter.

It’s a start.

+1 margarita and chlamydia infection in your 50's.

My younger sister has Down’s Syndrome, she’s not even 30 yet and she’s already had both hips replaced due to her condition; walking is painful and exercise in general is something she loathes. One of the only ways to motivate her to exercise is to tell her she’s “training” for the Special Olympics; then she’ll eagerly

Counterpoint: ICP and the Juggaloes support liberal causes like LGBTQ rights and marched on DC to protest being labeled a gang by the FBI unjustly, they’re actually good.  Weird, dumb and bizarre?  Sure, but morally better than Kid Rock, Ted Nugent, Betsy Devos and even fucking Eminem.

I frequently have dreams that others might consider to be nightmares, or “fucked up” and I’ve been on some mental trips in my sleep, but nothing like this. A seeming eternity in slumber would have driven me insane, glad to see you came out on the other side okay though.

Oh yes.  For myself my guilty little pleasure is Disturbed.  Yes, I know the band is terrible, the lyrics suck and it is just...like the worst form of navel-gazing heavy metal....but sometimes I just want to listen to some.  It was cool when I was like, 16 and they do some great covers of old pop song and as dumb as

The special investigation could not impeach the president.  If they found some sort of direct evidence of Russian cooperation, they could have tried to indict him, the whole “the president cannot be indicted while in office” bit is not as ironclad as some folks think (it’s actually based on an opinion laid out by

They didn’t pick him.  Rod Rosenstein, deputy AG did.

So...a personal story. My uncle was in one of the towers on 9/11 (I won’t say which one to protect anonymity); he was never the same. Before the event, my uncle was a kind, caring, enthusiastic person who loved to talk and joke; after he was quiet, silent and brooding; the one time I talked to him about the event he

So on 1, for that survey the government rated “high speed” as 4 mbps or higher. The FCC didn’t change the definition of “high speed” until 2017 when they raised it to 25 mbps. As a note, neither 4 mbps nor 25 mbps per second are realistically fast enough to use this service. I’d say, at the least, you need 500 mbps or

It’s always promises, promises.  Their focus on VR is particularly galling, not too many people are all that keen on VR; quite frankly until you can get VR/AR that doesn’t require a goofy helmet I don’t think anyone is all that keen on it.  The last thing Valve put out was a card game that you both had to pay for and

Too bad the game was pretty much pure garbage. :(

I have a faster method:

Hey, you know how you’re trying to put your life back together after it was devastated?

I think I have credit monitoring for the next decade at this point.

It’s been that way since I moved to Seattle. In 2008.

Stanford couldn’t find one black AI researcher?  One?

Management doesn’t respect workers unless you are in a union.  They have no reason to respect you.  Make them respect you, join a union.

A lot of people trot this out, but it’s rarely the case. Union workers do better work which takes longer, so the job doesn’t have to be done more than once. And I’m not just spouting nonsense either:
