Well of course, who wants Joey Fatone near you?

I hope the promises these companies are making about crunch really are true and the industry finally realizes it doesn’t need crunch to get things done. The idea that you should work yourself near to death for a piece of entertainment is crazy, it’s entertainment not a hospital. But then again, we’ve heard similar…
Ubisoft’s assertion is that The Division doesn’t have political overtones is ridiculous. For one thing, Tom Clancy’s novels and other properties have an intrinsic political bent: that people in the armed forces and the nation’s intelligence and counter-intelligence agencies are simply better than everyone else.…
I thought his dick was rather unimpressive, personally.
If your company is working you that hard, then your project coordinator and/or project manager fucked up. Also worth noting that even those IT workers get overtime if their hours go above a certain number per week by law (though getting this enforced can be difficult).
The math on that depends on how much/how little you’re paying people and how much their benefits cost per person. Also, how prevalent and available the talent you want is and whether or not you think you’ll need the extra help for longer than a few weeks.
But working more doesn’t necessarily mean harder, or perhaps more importantly, better. Not sure what you do for a living, but overtime really is optional where I work in IT with the exception of certain “emergency” situations (like when WannaCry hit).
The difference is Sydney pretty regularly got minutes for the USWNT while Dom got a couple of looks and then the team moved on.
I mean, opioid overdose/heroin addiction is definitely a serious problem in this country and one that has cut across all racial lines. There’s an argument that now doctors are too scared to prescribe pain medication to those that truly need it, but then again I think appropriate caution is warranted, after all you…
I mean, the worst part is that neither the dinosaur or Neanderthals are part of history. History is the study of stuff humans did when they started recording things, historians are only concerned with humans. Studying dinosaurs and Neanderthals would fall under paleontology or biology (depending on how they are…
Every hospital requires the flu shot. Most places where you might be in contact with patients also require it. Liberal/conservative has nothing to do with it, it’s just facts.

That’s...not how the flu works. If you got sick from a flue shot (which is virtually impossible unless you have AIDs or something similar that compromises your immune system) you would get sick the next day, two at the most if you got the shot late in the day.
All right, other folks just told you to fuck off, but I’ll give you the courtesy of a more in-depth breakdown.
It’s important to note that Warren herself didn’t make it a big deal and it was Harvard that publicized it. The question was whether or not you qualify for Native American subsidies, Elizabeth Warren checked the box because technicaly she does, even though she never claimed them.
But there were plenty of profitable games that weren’t so gigantic too. It’s not like EA became as big as it did by having a bunch of commercial failures, after all. The price hasn’t changed on games, that’s true, but what has changed is the size of the audience. What was once a fairly small, niche entertainment…
I do have a solution: make smaller games. The problem is the massive scale of these games inherently makes them inefficient and expensive. As many developers have shown, you can make better games with smaller, more efficient teams if each release doesn’t need to be this massive, hideous monstrosity.
So, I get that you have strong views having been in the military but...
