Quite frankly, I’m not a fan of the genre in general. I get the idea that there is tension in walking around, hiding, etc...but I’d rather just get to the shooting. Maybe I’m just old, but I’d rather play some deathmatch/team deathmatch or maybe capture the flag/point stuff.

Nope, still cosmetic, outside of one set of weapons that give you extra gold and XP if you use them; but those can only be leased with a currency you can get for free.

Unless you’re playing in casual mode, skill cards don’t matter. In competitive mode they’re locked into level 4 regardless of what level you have the card. Loadout certainly matters...but a perfect loadout won’t save you from getting your ass kicked if you’re bad at that character.
