That’s the organization we’re discussing, that’s their video. So we’re discussing the goals of the group that created the video. Additionally the poster I’m responding to appears to be advocating for a ban on pornography as well.

The website, “Fight the New Drug” is calling for a ban on pornography. It’s an extension of the Mormon church.

So...psychologists don’t agree then, as I mentioned before. You claim they aren’t specialists, but is that really the case, or are they just not crusaders? The idea that violent media will ruin society is older than psychology itself, but so far it hasn’t proven to be the case. We continue towards being a more…
Except the science is far from settled. There are studies showing violent media decreasing violence and studies showing it increasing and some that show no effect at all. Taken collectively, the research right now says one thing: We don’t have a clue on whether or not violent media increases violence. This article…
Video games and porn are relaxants too, and both are just fine in moderation. Violent media may actually reduce violent crime, as various studies have indicated that the crime rate goes as violent media is increasingly available.
Which is the same sort of measuring that the studies showing kids desensitized to violence do. None of them actually measure real aggression or violence, and if you want I can find you a whole bundle of studies showing video games either don’t increase violence or decrease it. The fact is that pretty much every solid…
I agree that if people are walking on your grass and what not, that’s a problem...for the police. Because at that point they are tresspassing. Suing Niantic because of this is just...silly.
But would those individuals that inflicted the abuse have done so regardless of porn? Millions of men and women in the US watch porn on a regular basis, only a very small minority of those individuals are abusive. Should we ban alcohol for its tendency to be used by abusive husbands? Should we ban all religion because…
Actually, porn does not desensitize men to sexual imagery, a study in the UK revealed the opposite:
Well, various studies seem to indicate that being open and honest about the use of pornography and both members of relationship using pornography may lead to lower levels of relationship distress:
Yeah, the site that posted the video is a shill site for Mormons and Republicans to launch their new campaign against porn. They’ll find any excuse.
Well, keep in mind, this is a Republican/Mormon website, they’ll use anything they can to make porn look like it’s horrible. It’s their new crusade now that they’ve lost the one against gays and lesbians.
I considered it, actually. In the end it was a little small for me (I’m tall with long legs) so I went with a Kia Soul instead.
Man: I’m fucking this horse.
Who the fuck is JJ Hickson?
The Pokemon Go gyms and stops aren’t on their property, so suing Niantic because there are Pokemon stops and a gym in a public park is stupid. if people are trespassing on their property or harassing then they should call the cops. My guess is that they don’t like a bunch of kids (almost certainly non-white kids)…
There’s a lot of evidence that indicates that people run faster when someone else is running next to them, actually. People push themselves harder when they have visual proof that they are ahead or behind.
Hold my beer and watch this!
