Oooo. Drawn in early 90s instruction booklet style. Gorgeous.

Eh. As a mixed-race (asian/white) person myself, I never really paid it much mind
Still, black characters tend to also wear dark uniforms (stereotypical and uncreative, yes), and the white/blue of electricity creates a strong visual contrast against those, which I suppose might be part of the reason...
Yea, they have some streets that look a lot like that in Havana. About half of the old city center has fallen into disrepair and looks a bit bleak as in the featured pic (in my experience, 10 years ago). The rest is colorful and pristine-looking as in your photo.
Funny thing, I was at the same place in the same year. I think I did accidentally snap a few pics of the military patrols that walk in pairs, but they didn’t seem to mind at all.
Overall, beautiful place, great people, amazing culture. It’s a shame Cuban citizens lack the freedom to travel and communicate as we do.…
I foresee the release of new, eh... “controller attachments”...
It also happens to be the controller to get closest to Barcelona’s own red and blue color scheme ever. Tho, granted, not quite blaugrana, it’s near enough to troll other teams that don’t have a an official almost-themed controller.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure one guy going “oh, shit” and “oh, fuck” followed by the other answering “it’s fine, it’s fine”, on top of the obvious misrotation/misplacement of a couple blocks does point to there being a few mistakes.
Still amazing stuff anyway.
I remember looking at Quake 3 player models, and later NOLF2 and thinking “yea, they don’t need to be any better than this. You can’t really notice the added detail, especially when characters are moving around as fast as they are in these games”.
Looking back, yea, I see detail has greatly improved, lighting even more…
Eh. The fangs terrify me. It’s like a badger or one of those little tree monkeys. .. All furry and cuddly and cute until it bites off your pinky and spits in in your face and gives you rabies.
oooo. awesome designs! And that Tifa... oh my.
Those look gorgeous. Good job, everyone involved!
“Will you see it?”: Maybe I’ll see the first sequel...? and if it’s any good I’ll see the rest? Don’t know, really.
Awesome band names right there. They even come with a premade cover for the first album, so that’s even better!
ugh. 8.25 here, too. Not looking forward to using these disconnected from the screen. Does the extra rail-strap-thingee help any? It’ll be a few months before I can get myself a switch (tho I definitely will), so, any info is appreciated.
yea... it’s steep alright. Definitely not impulse-buy material.
While these look amazing and like something I could only dream of, as a kid, to see in a videogame (8bit era kid here), I can only shudder at the amount of resources required to design games at that level of fidelity. So, until they manage to procedurally generate stuff at this level, I fear it’ll stay locked to AAA…
Well, the dock does provide extra cooling (and thus enable extra processing power), and Nintendo did announce they’ll sell extra docks, iirc... So, depending on how much it’ll cost, maybe that’d be a better solution than improvising with a third-party dongle...?
tho, yea, Nintendo, it’ll probably be overpriced.
My thoughts exactly!
I can totally envision them launching a game that *does* require touch and TV and comes with a peripheral that connects to the console and the dock (or even the TV itself) for wireless audio/video output. That’d be a very Nintendo way of doing things.
I haven’t played the game, but the fact that he steals clothes from people and still the pants fit super snugly pints to him being an amazing tailor, in addition to a trained assassin.
