Welp... Very sad to see you go. Still... Best of luck. We'll miss ya. <huge virtual hug>

Dude starts off nice being excited by the quality of the movie... And then it feels icky when you realize he’s really more excited about investment returns. Media execs. Meh.
Or maybe there’s an uncompressed UHD rickroll video hidden somewhere in the file structure...?
Dr. Manhattan is missing his weakness to emotion, and where’s iron man’s dependency on his suit? Also batman can fight bare handed, but he’s only really batman if he has his gadgets.
Any idea on what’s the policy for using these images? NASA stuff is generally free to use given it’s credited, iirc. These pictures, tho...? Can they be freely used non-commercially or commercially?
I’ve been gathering public-domain images for use in my band’s album cover/booklet, and some of these are just stunning.
That’s not even his final form, too.
Love the last section in which Gordon and the background (and sound effect implementation!) look ripped straight off a classic Lucasarts game.
“This is not a cosplay. It’s not a statue. It’s art. Fantastic art.”
Oh, goody. This brought me back memories of a 2000 game by Shiny called Messiah. Anyone remember that one? Pretty interesting concept, I’d love to see that one updated.
Nonono you missed one, too. It’s the incredible squirrel she-hulk-man-thing girl.
But then the child would be the incredible she-hulk-man-thing girl, wouldn’t it?
No indication of her age at the time of death? Makes it a lot harder to imagine her story.
I haven’t seen any in a long time, but I don’t doubt they do. I’m pretty sure they still manufacture master system consoles. Still, you’d have to go look for it in specific places; most stores only carry ps3/4, xb360/one and 3ds. Then again, apparently you don’t even need a license to make a NES clone anymore, due to…
They do! I have at least a dozen of those in my collection.
Oh yeah, that a too! I remember carrying that around to play with my cousin, doing pew pew sounds (that I could also use it with the video game itself was a cool extra).
The Phantom System was my first console. It’s a licensed NES clone by Brazilian company Gradiente. It’s got NES innards and plays NES games, but the console box itself is a ripoff of Atari 7800 (Gradiente actually planned to launch the 7800 in Brazil, but rightfully decided the NES would be a better bet... but by then…
Funny how less than a week ago I was talking to a friend and he was telling me about his fond memories of this game.
And he went and stole a bunch (fistful?) of coins from link’s coat... instead of rupees? wasted opportunity.
Yes, and it sucks! There’s nothing inherently multiplayer about procedural destruction, it’s only associated with multiplayer because it necessitates the connection. The more game features migrate to cloud-only (and/or multiplayer-only), the more we’ll be losing when publishers kill their servers.
And still, multiplayer games routinely have the servers pulled down whenever the publisher or developer think it’s no longer interesting to keep them up. If not in two years, then in four, or six, with a scant few remarkable exceptions. Which means that content is pretty much lost for good. Server-based gaming can be…
