This was... unexpectedly great.
This was... unexpectedly great.
Which is fine and all, but... Will it blend?
To live on in perpetual battle. Very scandinavian. May his virtual valhalla be a good one.
Absolutely. We all know, deep down, they were hoping to release more public transport options as DLC. After the current debacle, I'm not so sure. Maybe they have it prepared already, will let the dust settle down, and then release, who knows.
"Part of the problem is the roads. In the new SimCity, the roads dictate the maximum density of your buildings; the idea being that more traffic allows for more growth. And while this is true a lot of the time, life doesn't always work that way in a sprawling metropolis where space is at a premium"
Also, a thred in the main forums said it only started booting after 20 minutes in version 1.4. I didn't count how ng i was out of connection back when it wa released, but i feel the servers were out for a lot longer than that, back then. People who have monitored internet usage while playing connected to the servers…
I can't help but think their "simulation runs in the cloud" claim is extremely fishy. The game keeps working even when connection to the servers is lost (red warning on top left of the screen), even if the servers aredown for several minutes, or even a couple hours. The only things that are apparently not working in…
Eugh.. no "jizz takfar" please, it's your dirty mind, not mine. no siree!
You mean you really want to watch magnified porn, right? That what you mean? No?... Oh. Okay. Forget this, then.
Cue direct-to-brain advertising in 3... 2... 1...
Deathnote guy is uncanny! Mr. Satan needs a lil bit more exercise, tho.
This actually looks really bad. I can control most touch-based FPSes just fine using the left thumb to move, right index to point and right thumb to shoot. It's a bit clunky to look at, but it actually works well (and it works much better than the both methods shown in the video). That said, touch FPSes aren't really…
SoF Double Helix was an interesting experiment on "realistic" location-based gore. I sometimes wonder why no one seems to have followed up on that. Does anyone know of an existing or upcoming game that simulates that kind of localized tissue destruction?
AWE 32... got one of those with my first Pentium. Played SO MUCH duke3d on that. Good days, good days.
Interestingly, I'm also 28, I absolutely adore Chrono Trigger (I have actually bought 3 versions of it - SNES, DS and Wii VC) and Full Throttle is also one of the games I keep coming back, too.
Actually... The plushie looks rather sad. And not the cute-sad he does when he loses the food, just plain sad. I bought my girlfriend an official plush last year (the one in the left, in the pic) and he looks infinitely more adorable.
Ah! I'd love to see those. Not out of curiosity about the destruction (something that seems to be a theme here), but rather the contrasts between the architecture, the people and the overall urban ambiance in different times.
Thanks for the link! Those are also really good, tho I'd say I prefer the clear-cut effect in the school pictures, instead of the "blending" done in the SF ones. The clear rectangle just feels like a window into another time, imo.
Beautiful concept, very good technical work. Would love to see more of these, in other contexts.
I'd wager that most people didn't mess around with the default split... so THQ probably got anywhere from 2/3rds to 3/4ths of the whole dead. I'd say it's safe to think they got at least 3mil out of that... Good for them, too. That's 3million out of games that would probably have sold very little from now on, if not…
