What was that all about...? Any team from country has the potential to make good games, even if the graphics/physics technology or the budget isn't quite there to compete with mainstream, worldwide-released games. We're living in a time in which indie games are as big or often bigger than mainstream releases, as

Now, I'm not one to usually like game features being locked out, but in this case it would make sense if there were ways to use the coins to unlock special costumes, harder challengers, minigames and whatnot. Would make the coin-collecting more than just a random number, but rather an integral part of evolving into

I suppose we agree on most points. The "protecting their products" part on your original post is what made me a little uncomfortable. That's the wording a slick (or sleazy, depending on your views) company lawyer might use to justify the blocking of media sharing. The fact is, the music itself is never "at risk" and

I really hope that will be the case. I don't see any sign of people struggling to break this trend, tho. We are too happily consuming everything the corporations shove down our throats, and pushing back only very feebly. To make things worse, our attempts to push back are often cannibalized by the corporate entity and

That is only true if the "government" becomes a self-sustaining (and selfish) an entity of its own, rather than a structure meant to assure the welfare of all citizens. Which is pretty much what it's become in many (most) cases, with the additional problem that our current government-entity is very strongly influenced

Yes, they are a business. Which is why, again, I say: they are *not* trying to protect the music/movies. They are trying to protect the revenue generated by them. The only thing music/movies have to be "protected" from is the destruction of their integrity (in all senses of the word) or simply falling into oblivion

Protect their products my arse. They are protecting their revenue.

Growing corporate power is what's happening to the world. In a world without significant political dichotomies, economic power is king. The large corporations are growing ever stronger and the individual is becoming ever more dependent on them. This is why a handful of bankers have been wrecking the world's economy

Pretty much all beers in Brazil are screw tops. I've drank a few pretty decent Australian wines that came in screw tops.

I suppose you have a point. It would probably transform your finger into glittering dust, tho.

screw the spandex. I want the zero-grav striptease...

you'd want to put your finger *in there*?

I've been saying this all along. Bears are too similar to primates for our own good. They are absolutely hiding something. One day they'll rise and we'll be replacing salmons in the cycle of life.

Rurouni Kenshin!

awesome =D

Maybe some particle effects. But really, the aliasing, which is very visible in the real-time shots, is nowhere in the pre-renders, and ray-traced lighting (which the pre-render most likely uses) makes a huge difference.

I say it's "arbitary" because there's no reason they couldn't work on PC. It's not like it needs motion control, or a second screen, or whatnot. It's exclusive simply due to a business decision.

This is the reason why sometimes I (mainly a PC player, tho I have fun with friends playing Wii) want to buy a PS3. Flower, Journey, and this, and hopefully the Last Guardian at some point, are different experiences that are (arbitarily) only available in the PS3. Sure, God of War and Uncharted would be nice

implying women should not be associated with oral sex...?

It's all in the lighting and antialiasing. Should be easy to improve, in time. The following generation of graphics will easily look as good as the pre-renders.
