Yea, I can often do that (sometimes it fails miserably, tho, but it usually works), and I can also count on myself to set an internal alarm clock to wake up. Usually if I go to sleep thinking "I have to wake up at 6" I'll wake up between 5:50 and 6:10. Of course, being drunk of overly tired screws up the clock.

I think what they did with Diablo 3 could work with CT. The "painterly" textures, rather than purely cel-shaded look great (if a bit too low res on D3's case)

This. The grass looks good, but the pop-in is VERY distracting. I'd be much more confortable if they increased LoD distance to at least double what they have there, even if it meant bringing down the details of the near grass a lot, in order to save performance. Here's hoping whatever game uses this allows this option.

When a Single Player game forces me to replay a section because my internet connection dropped or, worse yet, because their own goddamned server is acting up, there's no degree of sugar coating that can make me think this is an improvement over it being an offline game.

I never really had a problem with Maxima. She was a minor character, came, gone, and that's that. Not every comic book character needs to be a classic for the ages. I don't think her asinine at all, in fact.
