I think you're being a little hard on this game, Luke. Pretty much all 3D fighters back then were bad and clunky. Even the absolute best from the era (Tobal) is a bit clunky by today's standards.

I like to give Dark Forces a free pass because:
My memory was quite different of that time period, with a large portion of the 8 and 16 bit gamers mourning the loss of 2D games and wishing there were more of them. I believe there were even some tinfoil hat conspiracy theories out there that Sony had a strong hatred for 2d games and tried to discourage them for the…
The thing about PC sales is that most of the sales on the platform are digital, and none of these digital distribution services disclose their numbers to the public. Speaking specifically of BF3, you see a lot of articles talk about how the title sold "Over 5m in its first week" and then provide this breakdown:
Yes.
What does Kotaku have against twirling towards freedom?
We already know who won that battle of Quality vs Quantity. Besides, if it's anything like the first game, you'll have mostly PzIV's and StuGIII's and Hetzers, which were all fair game for a T-34. That guy can fight my IS-2's.
Can't wait to spam T-34's.
What exactly are you asking? Are you asking if races are faction exclusive, or do you not know the definition of the word "faction"?
I was going to say pretty much exactly what you did, but you've got it all covered.
That was the test, yes. Shooting people that move at different ranges with guns that actually recoil is much harder. Going for the headshot in real world situations is very different than the test administered.
I interpreted these results a little differently than they did: Headshot-reinforcing video games teach unskilled shooters to go for the hardest shot to make in real life without the skills to back it up. This has the potential to create more misses / less kills than someone who simply aims center mass.
Nah, they weren't fat, just allergic to the actual prize.
Considering the difficulty and precision timing required in this game, using a laggy motion controller sounds like an absolute nightmare.
I see pant legs. You sure that's a "dress"?
And nothing of value was lost. Seriously, I want to play a nice 2d sidescroller, not be embarrassed every time a woman walks into the room when I'm playing. They don't need to do TOO much, but making it not look like the sorceress has spilled out of her top would be nice. She's got the lowest nipples ever, must have…
It looks really odd to me. They took the crudely-hammered look present in the game and made it look specifically dimpled, like a golf ball.
The problem with that argument is twofold:
Perhaps if you're talking about a mainstream game like something from MB, but a lot of the smaller companies will be plenty happy to send you replacements. Sometimes they're even free.
The thing you're ignoring Mr. Drkstrm is that "cinematic" already has a set definition when referring to games, and that proposing a second definition does little.
